Arrgghh.. Why the bloody aren't these things on DVD!??! Its 4 CDs! Pubs: RELEASE on CD and DVD! Swapping CDs is so early '00s! Plus.. DVD Players are so cheap they're practically giving them away.

Now.. as for the game.. looks decent. 9+ review from the Nforce community though? WoW.. as good as HL2? Confused

the dvd edition is for europeans but it's sf3 protected... be thankful that the u.s. one is unprotected, even if on 4cd

It's part of the INtelSDK which can be downloaded here:
http://download.microsoft.com/msdownload/platformsdk/i386/InstallerSamples/IntelSDK.msi
(It's a free download, ~7mb size)

What you need to do is open the games msi file with orca and go to the entry 'Media'
There you will see a list of the installation files from the discs. The collum 'VolumeLabel' tells you on which disk eache file is.

E.g. CD1 has the label XXX_1, CD2 has the Label XXX_2 etc..

Change the Volumelabels on ALL files to the label of the first disk (XXX_1 in our example).
Save the msi file.

When you burn you DVD make sure it also uses that Volume label.

Personally I just burn the raw image to the dvd and mount them with daemon tools. Seems a lot less hassle to me.

easier just to mount the images than burn it anyway.

and using cds/dvds to play downloaded games with is so mid 90's.

Omg how stupid you pay for a protection and you bring out the game. Nobody still cracked it yet, so u think 'Hey would't it be nice to leave the protection from the US cd version?'... Stupid.

This happens with most of the games and all music cd's. Especially German customers can be bothered with shitty protections like SF3 or all those for audio cds. The reason is simple. European customers mean shit to the companys and laws over here only favour the companys not the consumers. It's different in the US and laws favour the customer and not business. Yet companys complain that ppl are not buying their protected shit, wich plays in only selected cd players, like they used to a few years back. I guess they will never learn Evil or Very Mad
