Looking very much forward to the new album, didn't quite like the last one Surtur Rising for some reason. My favorite is still With Oden on Our Side!

They've changed their sound. It's more thrash metal now (not that I mind, I love the bay area thrash as well as the german triology sodom, destruction and kreator (old).

My fave Amon Amarth song is still the epic self-titled song off "Once Sent From The Golden Hall" though:

Album version:

Live version:

Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn!

"The sky was the color of a TV tuned to a dead station" - Neuromancer

ps. I saw Amon Amarth sometime in the 2000's, probably opening for Slayer and they had a guest vocalist during a song..

Lars Göran Petrov, vocalist from Entombed.

I laughed halfway through the song though because Petrov is like ~1.68m/5.5 feet tall while Johan Hegg, vocalist in Amon Amarth is like ~1.93m/6.3 feet. It was like the dwarf and the giant.
