I would definitely want this if they actually wove a descent story into the game this time... The last few minutes of Qube, where it almost felt like the entire game wasn't just random abstract puzzles for the sake of puzzles, actually really started to intrigu-oh the credits are rolling, well never mind then...
Q.U.B.E. 2 is the sequel to the hit first-person puzzle game Q.U.B.E. You are Amelia Cross, a stranded archaeologist who has mysteriously awoken among the sand swept ruins of an ancient alien landscape. Together with the distant help of another survivor, Commander Emma Sutcliffe, you must traverse and manipulate the structure of this forgotten world to find a way back home.
Waking up wearing a strange suit with attached gloves, you have no prior knowledge on how you came to be in this environment. Awaiting you is a maze-like monolith, a structure that you must navigate, solving mind-bending puzzles. Use your manipulation gloves to change and adapt the architectural structure in your search to rendezvous with another survivor, finding a way off the planet.
As you explore and solve puzzles to progress, thought-provoking questions about your true purpose and the origins of the structure you are navigating will need to be considered, forcing you to come to terms with a devastating truth that will shake your world.

I'm playing DOS 2, but when I finish it I'm gonna play the shit out of QUBE and QUBE 2.

That's a joke right? I tried it just for fun but can barely get 30 fps with everything at low
So far, it tries real hard to put a story in it, far from Portal quality but pretty solid so far (liked the first one too).
Also finished, wouldn't call it very good, but it was a decent game. Puzzles were too easy most of the time and too cramped. In the end it got better though and you received a glimpse of that at least (and what it should've been a lot more).
Finished the journey in the Cubelands as well, I had a really good time with it. The initial rooms/chapters were indeed a bit worrisome in terms of (low) difficulty, thankfully though there's an incremental adjustment with the various elements that get combined (fire, wind, magnets and basic physics) which can lead to satisfying weee! results in the final third.
It's a relatively brief ride (my stats say ~5 hours - which however is an improvement over the first game) and it's never too demanding, but the pleasant crumbling sci-natural environments with their mysterious atmosphere and the pretty UE4-powered visuals form a strong bond with the subtle narrative structure (interesting, albeit not memorable) and flow coming from the puzzle-solving. Definitely a solid entry into the genre *throws 7,5 cubes out of 10*, here's hoping to see a third title as well that keeps improving the formula and ventures into even cubicer places.
