Tell me what the most crappy modern (made within the last 5 years) movie that you've watched.

Mine has got to be 'Half Past Dead". It's absolute shight in every department. The story is totally unrealistic, all the actors are pathetic and the fights are the worst i've ever seen.

Really I can sum it up in one sentence;

Ja Rule is in it, he doesn't die.

Nuff said.

Seriously? There are far worse films out there.

At least it had some redeeming features such as good CGI, some nice hulk vs army action and jennifer connelly.

You can do better fisk.

So, has anyone here seen 'half past dead'?

Luckily I have not seen 'half past dead' but now I'm tempted if you say it's worse than RE:A. Wink

Animalmother: Now that I come to think of it, basically every Korean/Japanese movie released within the last five years are pretty sucky. There are a handful of exceptions though, but a lot of "popular" ones are really dreadfully bad.

Do you throw Oldboy (korean) or Battle Royale (japan) into that lot of dreadfully bad ones? What do you think are the exceptions?

- AvP was terrible
- Cube Zero made me fall asleep at 5pm Razz (that says a lot)
- Half Past Dead - avoided it since i know Steven Seagal equals Crap
- An asian movie called "Memento Mori" about some hot schoolgirls, thought it might be nice, turned out as 2 of the most terrible hours in my life...THE ACTING man it just
wasn't there !!! i noticed about 5-6 times that the actors accidently looked straight into the camera Sad

edit: typos

I totally agree. Someone watched Taegukgi? I got blown away but that Korean war inspired movie. First time ever I've watched so many good asian movies (chinese, korean and japanese) ever.

Lets try to keep it to relatively large budget western movies. That way we know the film is genuine crap, not just crap because they couldn't afford a set or because the culture is different.

I thought AvP was quite good actually. I suppose it helps if you've read the books though.

Mystic river, that was ok in my opinion.

Yeah, but can you narrow it down plz.

Resident evil 2 seems to a rated as shit by everyone. They really fucked up with that movie. Ghosts of mars, that was shit in film form, and blade 3, oh how I cried when they presented us with a gay dracula.

Which was the worst though!?

Saw, the ring and matrix revolutions were not that bad in my opinion. At least 4/10.

Try to look at the film as a single unit, rather then part of a trilogy or something. That way we can be more objective about whether the film is crap or not.

Oh I’m sorry i forgot to add reloaded there too Laughing

Saw had style but story and acting didn't deliver
The North American version of the ring just blew Very Happy

The worst out of my list must be
ong bak
house of the dead
alone in the dark
superbabies

BAD movies for me are movies you watch once. You don't buy the dvd or even burn the dvd. Heck you don't even back up the movie. Just watch and delete OR return if you live near a video rental place Smile
