Anyone got any suggestions and experiences?

Been looking at mid towers, but not so easy to find one which fits all. I have a old and unwieldy CM Stormtrooper and i want it out.

1: Decent looking
2: 3-4 USB ports in front
4: Room for 4 3.5" HDD's
5 Decently cooled
6 probably things that i've not thought of.

A-Data XPG Battlecruiser is one i'm considering, but i'm not entirely sold on the looks.
Cooler Master MasterCase H500M, but has little space for HDD's.

Thinking about it, i might just get a large storage drive and rip out the smaller ones i have.

If I were upgrading I would go with the: Fractal Design Define 7 (also comes in a compact size). Not the best thermals if that is what you are looking for though.
I'm just sold on their build quality.

Maybe think about a NAS instead for storage. Comes with the benefit of using it for your mediacenter, backup, seedbox or whatever else tickles your fancy

I can vouch for the quality of the Fractal Design Define 7. I used one in my build a few months ago.
Plenty of room for the future and very clean and well built.

I did look at Fracual design, but im not the biggest fan of its modern and simplistic style. Did check a review for it and high temperatures with its door closed and filter present is a big minus for me.

Nas is definitely in the cards though, but will be a bit of a long term project.

Fractal design define 7 / their mesh chassis if you want something "easy".

If you want something unique, check out Jonsbo, their cases look amazing: https://www.jonsbo.com/en/products/U5S.html

Aluminium build too.

Noice.
I'm also looking for a new one, so thanks for that link. Even better, because if my eyes do not deceive me this version doesn't have a a transparent side cover which is just what I'm looking for! Surprised

I have bought a P600s - solid side variant.

I want two things from a case: silence andd good airflow. I heavily OC everything I put in my PC.

If a case is silent, then it is hot. If it has great airflow, then it is not as quiet. Except for the P600s. It is a great case. Very easy to build in, very nice to put all cables away. Very good airflow. You can pack it full of coolers. I run it in negative/balanced pressure, and still it keeps the dust out with good filters.

Cooling comes first, then a case that will accommodate that cooling, looks come last Wink

Amazing case, clean, cool and silent all at once, and has plenty of room for everything. I would only recommend against it if you need to move it frequently.

For me its a bit of a combination. Dont need the best of the best in everything, but as long as its not terrible in any regards.

Yeah, looked at the specs and the only thing that's putting me off a bit is the weight (~14kg Shocked ) since it will be on top of my ikea desk.
The desk can definitely take that weight, but still... maybe I'll look to the 400s instead.

P600s. Amazing case with great airflow solution. Front fabric mesh don't get dirty and let's air thorough and inside filter catches must of the dust

Probably you are retarded. And still, should have gone with a Fractal Design. Very easy cases to work with.

I made the mistake to go from a good old Fractal Design XL R2 to an Antec P6 ...

- Noisy as hell
- dust filter unconvenient (pulling from the bottom and back of the case wth !)
- No easy front opening

Back to a Fractal Define 7 XL Light Tempered Glass now, and I will never quit FD again.
This case is such a master peace.

Seems like a combination. It's up and running now and i did what i could. SSD is just loose at the PSU compartment, rest was fine-ish. Hard drive casings... There are no excuses for that. It is just horrible. I did some led stuffs wrong though, but atm i just don't care. Will swap those pins tomorrow.

Fractal don't have a case better than p600s. All of their cases have way worse gpu temps. Even meshify.
I had Fractals, now have Phanteks and it's the same to build in

Well, none of these beat the good old CM stormtrooper. Everything is so easy to install, but it kinda lacks a modern touch anyway. I'll get used to this in due time

just ordered a fractal r7 compact (solid), not a huge difference to my old r5, but it's smaller and after all those years it finally fits perfectly under my desk.
