My city is so retarded! I mean seriously.
Apparently internet service providers think that my neighborhood stinks or something, so they don't invest in the infrastructure, and all I'm left with is motherfuckin T-Scum!
And my speed is like dial-up! And it's not that I need my net for better dl speeds (well that's a given  ), I need it for work too.
I'm working on some web sites, making banners and such. I need to upload that shit somewhere. And my freaking upload speed is criminally slow.
All because someone is thinking: oh, this 'hood' is not interesting, young ppl don't live there anyways...
Well fuck you! I want my freedom of choice! We live in god damn 21 century! Just because one firm has monopolized the infrastructure (illegal btw), doesn't mean we have to suffer for it -.-"
You know, I wouldn't be pissed, if T-Scum offered decent speeds and packages. But for flat internet with 4Mbps and phone I'd have to pay over 35€ per month (currently we pay about 25€ per month).
Sure, you think that it's not such a big difference, and that may be true for you. But for our standards, it's not that small. Besides my friends have over 8Mbps flat net for the same price I pay now! And it's pissing me off.
I even wrote to ppl in the city, but to no avail. You can't make big companies do anything.

I'm in a rural area and that surely doesn't help, but you're in a city which is even more annoying.. When strong greedy companies with complete monopoly and careless governments converge, you have this. :S |

Ahahaha I live in a small town in a shithole of a country and I get 8mbps outside of peak time. My upload speed doesn't go above 100~ KB/s so good lack keeping a good ratio on torrent sites, always end up getting banned

A friend who works for a telecom company I get my services from, said I could (in theory) get 18 MBit net (since there are optic cables and copper wires), but they don't have the equipment in the switchboard, so they can only provide limited speeds and services -.-"
