*Space Rangers 2 Dominators - RELOADED/REBOOT*

[*]Official web page: LINK

[*]Publisher: LINK

[*]Developer: Elemental Games/CinemaWare Marquee

[*]Genre: RPG/Strategy/Adventure/EVERTHING ELSE

[*]Release date: August 2008

[*]Story/Description:
Quote:
Space Rangers 2: Reboot is a game which nearly defies description: By successfully combining turn-based adventure gameplay, real-time 3D strategy, puzzle-solving and the customization of role-playing, Space Rangers 2 forms a living virtual world to explore. Set in the distant future, you'll start your journey by creating your character and initial profession, which will determine how you begin your adventure. From there you'll join the Space Rangers, a group of volunteer "heroes" who have chosen to fight against the rampaging Dominators.

Unlike other games, Space Rangers 2: Reboot doesn't lock you into your initial character. If you don't like what you're doing, simply choose another profession. There are dozens of ships to choose from, each with their own unique equipment, weapons, armor, droids and much more. You could start a trading empire across the galaxy, then become an elite bounty-hunter chasing down pirates. Or, if you're truly ready for the challenge, fight against the powerful Dominator robots in space and in planetary battles.

Each game of Space Rangers 2: Reboot is unique, with a new galaxy randomly generated each time you start a new character. You'll never experience the same galaxy twice!

[*]Multiplayer: NO

[*]System requirements:

* 450 MHz Processor
* 128 MB RAM
* 64 MB 3D Video Card

+1 although I cheated since I'm not in the USA. Makes the original SR2 much, much, better.

Is this still worth it even if you hated the planetary battles in the old one? I mean it seemed to be one of the big things in this update.

Yeah, still no scene release yet for this one, sorry. You can only buy it through digital download as of yet. Lol, i so wished there were a release for this one, but seems like noone cares about this gem of a game anymore, although it was one of the best games that came in the last decade.

So, I'd need to download the original game and then this expansion is like a huge patch ?
And no crack for it ?

Or is it standalone ?

From what I see, the dopeman rip is not the new one, it's the oooolldd game.

(and it's not a steam rip)

I loved the orginal SR2 too much, I actually bought the expansion from Impulse -- but god almighty that was a pain in the fucking arse! They DON'T tell you that you need to setup an account, via Impulse, before you can download the expansion -- if you buy the game BEFORE you do that, kiss your money good bye because you'll never get the game. >:[

Still, even with all the hoops to jump through -- it's WORTH IT! Awesome expansion and, yay!, it removes StarForce.

No, that's not a typo. Get yours asses over to Stardock Gaming. They're having a massive weekend sale.

Yeah man, I said exactly the same -- and I already HAVE the full pack (SR1 and SR2 on DVD, as well as the downloaded Reboot) lol!

By the way guys, Reboot is both standalone AND expansion. You can just play Reboot without ever having the previous SR2, or you can install Reboot over the top and the game automatically merges them together.

You have made me a HAPPY man! *wink wink*

Sins is very good and well worth the price. lots of balance has been done along with bug squashing.

I couldn't believe the price of Space Rangers 2 Complete... i already own the original but i went ahead and jumped on that for $3.99.
What a freaking STEAL.

i put this in my cart, and because I'm in Korea they feel the need to show the price in Korean Won, but they've totally messed it up, price is supposedly $3.99 .USD but only 4 korean won..problem is 1 USD =~ 1350 korean won... when I click paypal it tries to charge me the american amount.. I need to figure out how to get it to charge me the won Wink
It does this with any onsale game... if I could get it to charge me that price I could get all the onsale games for less than a penny..
