Mostly to be able to go online when I'm at my mothers flat, when I'm hanging out in the garden, when I'm in bed and too lazy to get on the pc. It would also be very useful when I travel (vecation - I would be able to transfer pictures from my D7000 straight to the ultrabook and even edit some of the pics in lightroom / photoshop, while visitting friends & family members).
It doesn't need a powerful GPU, but it would be amazing if I can still play games on low/medium details.

wth is a TN screen? :O ...let me google it....
/edit: oh, ok. but they say:
Code: | In return, the screen in our test device scores well in terms of image contrast and black value. The measured, high contrast of 622:1 adds up to a low black value of 0.35 cd/m2, which results in a particularly good and relatively saturated black reproduction. This results in a decent picture quality on the ultrabook's screen. |

Believe me, that's what you think right now, but in two months you'll feel as if you spent money on something you do not enjoy 100% If it's new, it should work fast and you'll expect that in your subconscious.
And you should really aim for something with an ips panel, in the meantime browse with your phone and do the uploading there and the actual photoshopping on your pc, where you have full control, power and comfort.

You can just install win 7 on it anyway.
And instead of using it to play newer games you can always run older/emulated/indie games on it, that's what I do with mine when I'm away on vacation.

TN comment in ultrabook topic, whats next , bitching about PPI and not enough metal? |
TN comments belong in any display related topic. TN is just outdated crap.
Then again, just because a display is IPS doesn't make it amazing by default. Especially not in laptops, where you don't get presets.

And still, an IPS mediocre screen is ton better than TN screens.
