Hey all,
I've got a spare pc at home that I use when friends come around, I've also got mine (3750K) and my partners (i7920) which we also use.
Now this third pc is a LGA 775 6750 @ 3.6 with an ati 5870. I've now found a q9550 for $100 (AUD). If you look on ebay they are going for twice that price if not more in my area.
Would you think the update from a c2d 6750 to a q9550 is worth the $100? We play a bit of CS GO which runs ok but not up to my standard of smoothness compared to the other two PC's, keeping in mind the other two have 670 sli and 7950.
The main reason is my partner wants me to stop stealing her computer when a mate comes around.
Do you think I would see a decent improvement, I will over clock it.
thanks,
Luke

If you use the machine for gaming, then yes; the transition from E6750 to Q9550 will be worth it, especially when you OC.
