supcom2 was better than sucom1 imo. Tho TA2 done properly would be awesome

You are the first person i've seen who says that. I haven't played it personally though. I've only heard about how silly and dumbed down the entire game is.

But the UI, performance and graphics are much better.
SupCom1 have greater scale and resources system but it is hardly playable.
Units seems like small toys, not huge robots for some reason
edit: here. This is why I like SupCom2 (captured with fraps)

For me the second one was better. Even if it was dumbed down, I liked the faster pace, much better UI and the graphical style. They made the game even better with the first and only addon with more maps, crazy units and upgrades for old ones. Like the Noah Unit Cannon or how you could add jetpacks to Cybran boats.

Why do you consider Sup Com 1 hardly playable? Sup Com 1 has alot more depth than 2 and I dont see how the scale and resource system of 1 make it hardly playable.
KC, part of the reasons why Supcom2 looks like it has larger robots is because of the overall map scale is smaller. I would almost go as far as saying they are about 1/2 the size of Supcom 1 scale. As a result, everything looks bigger.
Besides, the experimentals are a joke in supcom2. Churning em out every minute or so only to send 10 of them to their deaths is an insult to anyone who has ever build one in supcom1, or a krogoth in TA.

Actually instead of a campaign (which wouldnt really work for TA i reckon) it should have a battle map like dune2 and warhammer. I miss those types of games
Everything is in place for Chris Taylor to make a sequel to Total Annihilation, thanks to Wargaming picking up the Total Annihilation IP in a recent auction of Atari properties. Taylor, of course, came under the armoured umbrella the World Of Tanks company when they purchased Gas Powered Games earlier this year. By connecting the inevitabilities, we can see what needs to happen here. Wargaming also picked up Masters Of Orion, while Rebellion got Battlezone (I predict a speculative nostalgia Kickstarter there) and Stardock got the Star Control IP.
