Heh, I remember when the DS came out here in the US. The pre-order lists were 30 people long at every single fucking game store. And they were ALWAYS sold out. So then I started calling like game stores even 100 miles away, and I finally found one and they had 2 units left in stock. So I begged the guy over the phone to save it for me, and then I drove 120 miles to some weird farm town and got the damn thing. A little excessive, but it sure was worth it.

1.) Pull Out phone book
2.) Start calling places that would carry it, and ask if its in stock
3.) If its in stock beg for them to hold it for you
4.) Drive to location
5.) You live in england so it wouldnt be that much of a drive where ever it was

1.) use a moped
2.) Small compared to the continental US
3.) Why you just dont go out on a moped on the quest for the nintendo DS vexes me.

like i said its just stupid because shops all around the uk aren't sold out and they're all selling it at the same price. I don't have a moped and enough money for 1 + insurance plus i dont want 1.

The DS is doing extremely well. And unlike sony, nintendo isnt purposely shipping a small amount of units to try to make it look better from being sold out so fast.

i think they're (companies) are more botherd about unit sales than popularity. no1 will look at a stat of say "all psp's were sold out in 10 hours. yes...... 5000 psp's were all sold in 10 hours of launch." and think wow they must be good. By something selling out doesnt mean it increases popularity or status except maybe for the few that own 1.

I own one. The thing is a piece of shit. My "square button" broke almost the first day while I was using it. The unit itself bends very easily in your hands, and the screen moves with the bending, so it damages the screen obviously. The UMD discs FLY out of the slot when you decide to take them out. It has terrible on-board audio (sounds crappy compared to the ones on the DS). I have to constantly wipe the screen clean from fingerprints. And as I mentioned before, it had shit worth of battery life. I also dont like the games as much because their overall fun was sucky compared to most DS games, not to mention I can also play GBA games on my DS if I do get bored with DS games. Also, when I did actually decide to take it on one of my trips to fuck around with, it gets REALLY hot and smelt like shit and it gave me a headache. So I said fuck it with the thing. Just because it is capable of better graphics doesnt mean jack shit, and I dont know why people cant figure this out on their own.
I spent 500 dollars on a piece of shit.
