Let me be the first to say a BIG THANKS to MONEY for finally cracking this game! Yes the earlier versions sucked but since then its become better, a little! Wow.. FOUR Updates since the game was released a while back.

I'm so glad someone stepped up to the plate and cracked an update! The game does have its moments and I do hope you fellows continue to crack Updates the best ya can!

Anyway, I suppose I can say it for everyone that the community thanks ya for the release. Sure there are more Cracked Updates to be done but this one is a nice surprised!

How good is the game now ? Let's say it was 7/10 originally - is it now up to an 8.5 mark? Is it worth checking out for a LAN fest?

Thanks

This game was born dead...it was so buggy that people went playing something else. On gamespot he's got a 5/10 rate...that sucks unless the new patches made alot of improvements.

I have to agree with Kommando.

It would seem that JoWood does not have the marketing department to release a half baked game and then patch it to glory. In a way I am actually happy, not about Soldner dying a horrible death in particular but rather that gamers seem to be learning to reject unfinished products in general.

There where a lot of original ideas and what not in Soldner, but when you got DICE and Novalogic with Battlefield and Joint Operations in the other corner you cant walk out at the gong with your gloves unlaced.

I just hope more companies have learned from this and will think twice about trying to milk the game community with unfinished products. But I fear not…

Point being, fellows, is that a group was nice enough to go back and take a look at a game that, initially stunk, is in later revision actually better. This is the thing I love about the "scene" where groups will go back and do something extra special by releasing a cracked update for an older game. I for one have been waiting for a cracked update for Soldner for awhile and now the game is up to Update#4 I'm glad they waited.

Will have to test it out when I get back to the city.

I do hope more groups do this: cracked updates are just AS IMPORTANT as the release itself. Seeing this Soldner release makes me have confidence in the "scene" again - perhaps things are getting back to normal although ever slowly.

Thanks MONEY and the rest of you for your generosities! Smile

same thing happening to me, I reburned the clonecd to see if it was a problem with the cd but still doesnt work, looks like the protection has been updated in this patch, I got the cracked update working on the rzr's ISO

Requesting is bad, and that is not the right patch, this one has version 30520 or something

Are all the fixes MP side? I remember playing single playing saying, HOLY SHzt they need to fix the bugs in SP !

I mean it was a joke, why have single player if the AI don't work and everything is screwed.. anyway im sure its alll about the MP it just be nice if the SP worked for when you want to just play by yourself.

no cdkeys work online anymore it seems, so theres probably not much of a point in getting it (i got it, razor cdkey is banned), since the game is mainly just MP, yea...

Sorry to revive an old Thread, but the new Addon and a new Patch is available for Soldner - Secret Wars called 'Marine Corps.'

Well let me say that the previous Patches where NOTHING compared to this one. They added Boats, Desert Maps, new Weapons and Vehicles and a Swim-Kit with a Scuba Scooter (these James Bond like mini submarines). Also new Shader effects and better Textures makes this Game to a really enjoyable one.

This Game totally rocks with the new Patch, but the Patch is big (something like 250mb) and Soldners Copyprotection got an Update...SecuRom6.

Well we can all hope somebody will crack this bitch. I bought the game so I dont have any problems, but still...

I hope you give this game a second chance.

What are you interested in? EA has bombarded pretty good with Rugby 2005, MVP 2005 and Nascar 2005.

It seems as they would actually benefit from removing the copy protection, completetly (but keep the cd keys of course...) as more people would discover the game and buy it for multiplayer (assuming they fix singleplayer).

don't copy that floppy
