AIM has got to be the worst spyware/adware bundled astrocity ever. I remember it sucking back in 2000 but these days it has gained 10 points of shittyness. My GF of course installed it behind my back which pisses me off. Whats worse is she's to fucking dumb to uncheck all the addition 3rd party software stuff. Look at the load of crap it installs:

1. AIM Toolbar (useless compared to google)
2. MySearch Toolbar (Loaded with spyware hell)
3. Weatherbug (AIM does not need this whatsoever)
4. Wild Tangent: used for most AIM games (Who the hell plays shitty aol games?)
5. Veiwpoint Media player: plays most AIM expressions (This needs a whole Media Player, wtf?)
6. AOL Desktop Installer (I'd rather drill screws into my feet...)
7. AIM Windows & AIM Games (shitfest)
8. ADvertisements (This could be another whole post of hatred)

That folks is 9 extra "enhancements" that AOL packages in their devilware. Middleschoolers all over the world get Owned by AOL everyday, too bad.

I thought to myself "surely someone out there feels this way..." Low and behold a company (aftermath software) did. Recognizing AOL's shit smell, they made a sweet program that does this:

I had AOL like once and I deleted it 10 minutes after Razz

Anyway dl'ed Trillian Yesterday and I must say bravo... I uninstalled messenger 1 hour later after the installation Very Happy

oh and Injurious ... it doesn't merge contact lists anymore, even if you accidentally put them in the same section.
