That'll be a problem downloading games and such, seeing as most modern games are well over a gig.
So, when you say they monitor it, do they actually monitor what is downloaded, or only how much?

So in other words they are saying they can not offer such speeds and connections to all of their costumers and to offer such connection speeds they are realying on people not actually using them to their fullest. Priceless

I know plenty of people who break the limit every day. You'll get a phonecall but thats it. I wouldn't worry about it.

ok just been on the phone to NTL tech support.
According to them the 'caps' have been in place for a while now.
Their monitoring peoples use, they dont want what they call exessive usage - downloading 24/7 from fast servers.
The fact that I have never been contacted from NTL about me going over this 'limit' regularly might indicate that its nothing to worry about.
The 750k will not be available soon being replaced by the 2 meg so it looks like I cannot refuse this upgrade.
They know people dont buy 2meg cable for web and email so they've got to accomodate these users.

I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

change. if you can support 8mb you may as well go with uk online and their 500gb cap. you're already paying 40£ so you're not paying anything. 15£ extra a month doesn't seem a lot but over a year it soon mounts up especially for a tramp like me
