OK, heres the deal.......I am trying to link my PS2 to the network for FTP transfer, and online stuff. I have a wireless network, with one main PC and a laptop on it, and a wireless router as a gateway. Seen as I am a cheapskate, I wanted to try linking my PS2 with a cat 5 cable rather than shelling out £40 or so on a wireless bridge. I can get the PC to recognise that there is a device attached when I load up the network disc, but it always fails the dns tests. I obviously can't use ICS on the PC as it would turn it into a DHCP server (I think!!), and my router is acting as the DHCP.
Am I doomed to buy a proper wireless adaptor for my PS2, or is there actually a way of getting it to work on this setup ?
Jesus loves you. Everyone else thinks you're a cun........
