Burning clones is a fuckin pain in the ass and more than half the time it will not work...like some clones on CD need to be burn at 4x but 80% of burner/blank CD's doesnt go under 8x so you are screwed.

Managed to get this to emulate under Daemon, only to have this shitty port crash upon boot up.
First run, I got past the intro to the Eidos/Crystal Dynamics er whatever splash screen. Then CTD nv_display error.
All successive runs automatically boot me to nv_display error, and hafta restart system due to driver crashing.
I'm using the NVidia 71.84 drivers. Anyone else getting this shit?

Found the answer to my own problem.
The game does not work with the newest 71.84 forceware drivers, but apparently does work with the set before that, the 66.93.

I'm to lazy to do a driver rollback, and a big fuck you to those know nothing programers who were responsible for this shitty port Smile

But hopefully this will help those that had the same issue as me.

I burned the game and had that sysdata.xml error happen when i tried to burn off the disc. I mounted the image with Daemon, installed it, and ran it from the disk...there does seem to be a problem tho as it always doesnt detect the disc, still asks for orig cd.
Open and close the drive. Wait for the autplay spalsh screen to appear. close it orleave it open, doesnt matter. Then it the retry button...if it doesnt work the first time, hit it a few times...doesnt always work on the few few attempts for some reason.

Hope this helps

Anyone know if where I can find some txts on starforce and securom?

dunno if its been posted here or not but to play from dvd image

1. Open Regedit
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices
3. Right click the folder, and click PERMISSIONS.
4. Click on ADMINISTRATORS
5. Look for the READ box, and select DENY
6. Click OK

mount with daemon tools

oh and remember to undo it when you're done playing Wink

Yes it does. It can fail at both speeds but 8x has a higher chance of failing.

i burned this CRAP in the same way described at the NFO
with blindwrite 5.2 with AUTOMATIC profile and SLOW speed (2x)

burned OK, installed OK, but when i double-click the shortcut to play, the securom process (uaservice7.exe) is opened and, after check the DVD-R, shows up a error message with "The Disc cannot be verified" (or something like that)

WTF ?! i follow the instructions at the NFO and this CRAP don't work Rolling Eyes
