Using a USB 2 box with a DVD R/W.
Installed fine, but when it checks the DVD the entire computer freezes. Is there some step I'm missing? Are there some programs I have installed that might be causing this?

Gunman - My DVD works fine, all drivers loaded and everything. I can burn the image with it no problem. I just can't get it to go past the cd check without stalling.
SychoShaman - Are you referring to the following off page 14?
Install Note
~~~~~~~~~~~~
1 Unpack
2 Burn it with alcohol 120% 1.9.5 b2802( use profile: starforce 1/2/3)
3 Install the game
4 Disable all your IDE-CD/DVDROM( dont use sfnightmare or tools like that)
5 Put the burnned dvd into a USB interface DVD-ROM
6 Run the game, and enter this CDKEY:
7 Enjoy
Using the RMPS setting in Alcohol and no "enjoy" yet. My computer just freezes. Have either of you gotten it to work? I take it from your previous discussion that you don't have a USB drive SychoShaman.

Nope, dont have a usb drive and thats the stuff
I dont think you'll find anymore detailed information. Possibly in the threads or at cd freak's forum's in their splinter cell thread...but its basically just ppl takin from the nfo  |
