In the remote mountains of Colorado, horrors wait inside Mount Massive Asylum. A long-abandoned home for the mentally ill, recently re-opened by the “research and charity” branch of the transnational Murkoff Corporation, has been operating in strict secrecy…until now.
Acting on a tip from an inside source, independent journalist Miles Upshur breaks into the facility and what he discovers walks a terrifying line between science and religion, nature and something else entirely. Once inside, his only hope of escape lies with the terrible truth at the heart of Mount Massive.
Outlast is a true survival horror experience which aims to show that the most terrifying monsters of all come from the human mind.
Hell is an experiment you can't survive in Outlast, a first-person survival horror game developed by veterans of some of the biggest game franchises in history. As investigative journalist Miles Upshur, explore Mount Massive Asylum and try to survive long enough to discover its terrible secret... if you dare.
Features:
* True Survival Horror Experience: You are no fighter - if you want to survive the horrors of the asylum, your only chance is to run... or hide.
* Immersive Graphics: AAA-quality graphics give players a detailed, terrifying world to explore.
* Hide and Sneak: Stealth-based gameplay, with parkour-inspired platforming elements.
* Unpredictable Enemies: Players cannot know when - and from where - one of the asylum’s terrifying inhabitants will finally catch up to them.
* Real Horror: Outlast’s setting and characters are inspired by real asylums and cases of criminal insanity.

TBH its one of very few horror games that have been able to scare me. I don't jump that easy, even with 5.1 sound, but the feeling of having someone after you is so damn tense
So this is free on PS+ next month? Kinda good, but I was expecting Drive Club!
DriveClub has a free PSN+ version but I guess that won't be out until the actual game is. It was delayed wasn't it?
yep, no official release date yet, but its great that outlast is the next free ps+ game.
with everyone complaining about the lack of games on ps4, atm i cant even catch up, having ac4, bf4, kz sf and all the ps+ freebies on it.
definitely cant complain about the lack of games personally
as far as i heard, it will be missing comparatively only a very few cars and tracks compared to paid version, also as a ps+ user you can upgrade to the superior version at 50% discount, so its not bad.
Well I am not that bothered about racing games, so I suspect whatever PS+ people get will be fine with me.
That said, I am a bit concerned about the concept of Sony using "cut down" versions of games in PS+. Hopefully this isn't a trend they'll adopt.
I also expect / hope they release another big title on PS+ instead of ports - I suspect Knack might be the first big PS4 game they have on plus?
its only the case with driveclub because its a retail game that goes straight to ps+ on its release, the other retail games will go ps+ prolly 6-12 months after release.

You assume. No one knows what Sony plans of course.
But wasn't this the case with PS+ before PS4 came out? And now with the release of PS4 they've started charging for PS+ service, so I hope some bigger titles later on is not too much to ask
