Pre-purchasing will get you access into the Beta that goes live Thursday December 16th
Downloaded, uses UE3 but that probably doesn't say to much about the game, roughly 2 GB in size, unsure how the beta will differ but I haven't really done much at all aside from the download.
It's a class based defend the objective type of game, normally human players versus similar classes of AI robots with the addition of money to upgrade your active skills and if possible also build a variety of turrets around the objective and upgrade those.
Various bonuses also exist like a giant robot that explodes in a rain of money and temporary boosts and a cash throwing mascot.
Maps are pretty small and the gameplay is incredibly simple but very fun, haven't really played much as it's also a bit unstable currently but I enjoy it.
Now, ask any gamer who has played a shooter on both the PC and a console and they will tell you that mouse and keyboard is infinitely better than a console controller. PC players long for a game that they can play on a PC versus people playing on a console just for the pwnage of console newbie meat. We accept this as a universal truth.

Now, all these systems sound like cheating but they all revolve around the same concept; make the time to aim as small as possible. None of these systems are needed on the PC because that time can get to be nearly zero by sheer player skill.
Quote:
With all that said, how does this affect Monday Night Combat from console to PC? Well, I take all the skills and abilities that are very aim dependent and look at them. The sniper is the most obvious example: a one shot, one kill class that is very powerful if their time to aim can be nearly zero. The first thing I did was drop the clip size of the sniper rifle by 60% (from 10 to 4). Why? Because now I’m forcing the sniper to be more accurate. On console I allowed for a little ‘slop’ and gave some extra ammo. But on PC the shots have to count or the player will find themselves vulnerable again while reloading. This may even get lower, since there is no kickback on our sniper rifle there’s even been talk of making it a bolt-action rifle.

If you buy a copy of Monday Night Combat on Steam up until 10AM PST, February 1st, 2011, you'll get two batches of exclusive items. In MNC, you'll receive class-specific mods to make your classes look a bit more TF2-y. And over at Team Fortress, you'll get an MNC-branded hat that any class can wear, as well as a custom hat and outfit for the Scout.
Why are we doing a cross-promotion like this? We've been playing Monday Night Combat at the TF offices, and it is frickin' addictive. We wanted to make sure the TF2 community knew about it. So buy Monday Night Combat! You'll get a chance to play a fun game, and get a pile of new items for your trouble.
DS2 uses similar copy protection like NFSHP which was cracked by RLD - there is no way to expect crack from SKIDROW! I expect TRIVIUM crack around russian release date and soon after that RLD activator
I just played the tutorial then a single player defense match. Crashed at the end when I won. I can't select my native resolution, the higher I get with correct aspect ratio is 720p

Correct, Skidrow do not release SolidShield 2 cracks.

RLD to SR:
Especially when you start talking about copy protections such as Solidshield,
for which you have never demonstrated any ability to crack. (...)
First of all we will say something about our Solidshield cracks, because it is
obvious that you do not understand how Solidshield works at all. If you had
ever cracked any Solidshield game instead of using unprotected exes, you
would know that dvm.dll contains tables with VMed functions for all protected
modules.
That is also why these DVM files are so big (~100MB). In our cracked
releases, the replacement dll is ~100KB. Perhaps you think we stumbled upon
some fantasy land, overflowing with unprotected russian files, rode a
unicorn, did some magic, and packed encrypted VM tables from 100MB to 100KB.
If you would debug it you would see that our dll only decrypts modules in
the same way as Solidshield does and it redirects stolen functions to
completely rebuild functions, but you appear incapable of even doing that on
your own.
In the cases of Risen and Riddick you claim we did 'activation', but both
cracks are complete rebuilds. In fact Risen does not even have activation,
but a TAGES DVD-Check. There is not even any activation method present, so
how could we activate something without activation? Magic & unicorns again?
We'll chalk up this lie to a mistake, as it is also besides the point if we
did activation keygens for SS1 and SS2.
Keygens were always allowed and are often times the best solution, as they
break the copy protection on its own premise, by actually activating the
product. Many times they even work for updates, which is great, unless your
main concern with updates is to patch every one for points. But if you are
seriously arguing against activation keygens, you are also arguing against
regular keygens, and indeed serials. So, better get patching, eh?
wow. this game is terribly boring. i played for 5 minutes. at least it supports 2560x1600 resolution. other than that, the graphic is extremely bland for 2011 game using unreal engine. i just played the exhibition match against a bunch of robots. it gets boring fast shooting and destroying robots.
anyway, my interest level for this game is not high enough for me to invest any more time in it. at least not in the mood i'm in right now. i'll probably force myself to play this after i'm bored with dead space 2.
They're doing a super version (Super Monday Night combat announcement and a few screens.) not much but it might be a good improvement if they've listened to feedback and such.
EDIT: It's also free to play with a beta coming soon after this currently ongoing PAX '11 event.
