I've got the H80 and I am MIGHTY proud of it .. if the H80i offers temps 10c LOWER then .... DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN. I've got my i5 clocked at 4Ghz and it runs 27-30c idle, never goes any higher than 50 no matter how much I push it, and that's with the H80 set on medium. If I put it on high it sings like a choir girl and drops temps another 5c or so.

Well low is absolutely silent and medium is whisper quiet, quieter than my old Noctua U12P, but yeah.. high is unpleasantly noticeable.

Might actually get one of these, finally a reason to take them over air coolers (still rocking my Frio).

Same here.
Been using my air cooler for quite some time and it has served me well.
This however will be iceey-cool.

The fans that came with the original Hydro coolers weren't even all that great. I got Noctua fans on my Hydro, pushes a lot of air and you can't hear it.

H60 here. Even my lowly H60 does a great job and is very silent.

I don't have a money for those high end closed loops. Should i at least get h50/60 or an ait cooling like thermalright true spirit 120 or macho which both are almost twice cheaper than any loop

tbh True Spirit 120 is much better choice than H50/H60, only H80 and afterwards are good choice if you are going for closed loop. I had antec 620, which was pretty good, its better than H50/H60 (about 55€). Needs 2x Good fans tho (had 1850rpm Gentle´s) which will add around 25€ more to the price.

The old H80/H100 weren't even worth the money you had to spend on them over the top air coolers, like the Fenrir, Frio, or the Freezer i30 (all of these between 30-40 EUR). They needed better fans to be as effective unless you were willing to go noisy. These beat the air coolers even on their balanced profile though.

As I've recommended before, get an NH-U12P SE2.

I have the Macho, and I am very happy with it. It's cool and virtually silent. But yeah, its really really big but still leaves enough room for whatever Ram modules you want to use.

My h80i makes my 2700K idle at 30C, and about 75% CPU load brings it up to 70C, at 100% load it approaches 90 degrees Celsius.
Probably because it is impossible to seat the damn thing properly with the flimsy ass plastic back mount.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

No problems on my H100i, 5Ghz @ 1.425V full load is about 70c.

I should add that I have not overclocked my CPU. When I did, even at low load it went well into 90 degrees Celsius.

That isn't awfully good though now is it :l
My 2500K at 5GHz/1.5V maxed out at 85-86C in Prime with TS TrueSpirit :l
