We live in a complex world. The more advanced it gets, the more vulnerable it becomes. We’ve created a house of cards: remove just one, and everything falls apart.
Black Friday – a devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City, and one by one, basic services fail. In only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, an autonomous unit of tactical agents, is activated. Leading seemingly ordinary lives among us, these agents are trained to operate independently in order to save society.
Petition = free marketing for Ubisoft.
I guarantee you will see a PC port, petition or not.

The idea that Ubisoft are unsure if PC gamers would like to play the game or not is just

What you mean consotitis? Obviously MMOs are a very new concept on the PC market, as opposed to the consoles. Perhaps Ubisoft is not sure if MMOs have any place on the PC? Perfectly reasonable IMO.

No, the pirates are just going to hurt their sales.
Guess I'm the only one who's not interested in this? Sure, game looks pretty, but that's all, I see nothing special on it, also signed the petition days ago. Incoming rage?
Here's the thing, I am not absolutely convinced a DS port wasn't planned anyway either.
(OTOH, I am absolutely convinced the Division will get a PC port).

Still waiting on offers for having my glorious signature in there

This is better! Having a proper thread for it rather than me posting about it in the E3 thread. Thanks Kein -- and yes, it goes without saying that even though I signed this the moment I heard about the petition, I have no doubts Ubi were going to bring it to PC anyhow. The E3 video was running a PC build after all (check the vids and see the number shortcuts for menus, if that's not for a keyboard/PC then it's a very strange UI design choice) -- this whole "we encourage people to sign petitions, go on forums, let your voices be heard!" is just free marketing and support.
I'm with consolitis, Ubi were going to bring this to PC anyhow, I'm sure of it.

Yea, we needed a thread for this game. Ubisoft had a pretty killer lineup this year overall. I'm definitely interested in Watch Dogs and The Crew and will certainly buy The Division if it comes to PC. They need to confirm this soon and get the ball rolling. With games like DayZ and WarZ selling so well, why the hell this wouldn't be on PC by default is beyond me. Being online only, it's not like it's going to get pirated.
Why don't they just make a kickstarter out of it... way more significant than a simple petition that includes kids that don't have enough money to pay the game and pirate that willl... you know
And it would bind them to do it if it reaches their goal.
Looking at the video it looks like a AAA budget version of Ghost Recon Online with open world instead of individual matches. Will play if it's f2p, otherwise, meh.

Ghost recon is a military type shooter right? This is more like a survival game along the lines of WarZ/DayZ minus the zombies from what it looks like to me. 4 man squads, huge open world (well NYC, but looks pretty cool). I'd rather pay $50-$60 one time and be done with it. I don't want to get micro tranactioned to death on a game like this. I'd much rather have everything included for one price. I play mostly F2P games and always end up spending $50=$60+ it seems.
+1 with the pay once and it not be F2P with micro transactions.
Likewise. If this is a Guild Wars-esque title, buy the game and that's it, then I'm happy. I can no doubt try and scrape together £35 for the game but if it's a monthly-fee or a nickle'n'dime microtransaction game, then that counts me out.
Heh and after all this is done they will announce the PC version, making the decision, supposedly, in response to the PC community. We will all be so gratefruit that we'll fall in love with Ubi once again...
It's all in their master plan to win back the hearts and minds of PC players

If the survival aspect is really harsh and unforgiving, then I'll be the first to preorder it.
However, so far we've only seen a heavily scripted PR-video (should be pretty evident by now that we shouldn't even believe what they are asking, let alone what they are saying), and also we are talking about Ubisoft, the publisher that gave us AC's take-a-number-and-wait AI, and is derping the Splinter Cell games into new heights of derpitude with every new game. Really hope it would be a deep game, but I won't hold my breath. Same reason why I don't allow myself to be hyped by Watch Dogs.
