Not exactly a surprise but..good news! 
Even if I'm not a huge basketball fan I'm enjoying this series much more than any other sports game.

I could make a better cover than that with almost no skills whatsoever  . Looks like they copy-pasted the faces with paint.

True that.
There's not much info going on right now, only vague producer promises, a gameplay video that doesn't show many differences than 2K13, an All-Star Weekend that won't reach PC players ever (to hell with the Guitar Hero controls in the Slam Dunk contest), and the biggest of all...
The promise that the biggest announcement in 2K Sports history is coming in a couple of weeks.
We'll see.

yeah , I don't like either..really generic but that's how it is with sports games , just be a good game  never cared that much about game covers. |

Yeah. Let's talk more about the game cover. It's so important. It directly influences my experience with the game.

lulz. Looks like they've been stagnating in the last two years. IMO 2K11 was the best ever, and also the one with the best mods. This new edition doesn't seem to be the one to show progress.

That is very true, unfortunately we can't expect anything really innovative until the next gen consoles are released. Same for FIFA/PES/any other sports game around, developers can tweak some stuff/add some new small features but the core gameplay is going to be the same. |

I can't wait till the next version of consoles are released. The graphics will be stellar. We will get shitty 360 ports, just like we use to get shitty ps2 ports when the 360 was released.
Console fans will rejoice and rub it in our face for a year or two....pc's will catch up (developers that is) and ultimately surpass the consoles, and we'll be back to where we are now.

Good stuff, though I wonder if the PC version will ship without the post-process effects as usual. Damn they're so lazy, it would take one hour to implement them.

Looks awesome. I've loved the past few games, but really would like to see multiplayer working for once. This game would be just so much more fun with friends.

People compare it to nba2k13 so of course it looks abysmal, graphics is crap, sliding is awful, if it weren't for nba2k maybe somebody would buy it but now I'm not sure if there gonna sell 30 copies of Live total.

The NBA Live games have never been that good, the truth is, I used to like them just because I had no alternatives on PC.
