Looks nice (and for that price it's a steal ), but I cannot get used to 16:9 resolution :\

Ya I'd rather have 16:10 but the prices soar once you get to that.

Nice purchase anyway, makes me really jealous being an european with our high taxes and still much more expensive hardware for some silly reason. |
Oh there is but I'm not waiting for weeks for it to arrive to have issues and send it back and wait for weeks. There is overlord here in the states that is basically the same thing but those are $$$. This was 200 out the door.

To my knowledge 16:10 1920*1200 screens are regarded as 1080p+.

That link doesn't take me anywhere but the page to log in.
The border is slightly photoshopped but there is almsot no bezel, just the thickness of the plastic that comes up the side to hold it together. There's just under 1/4 inch of screen that is black all around, which is still better than most monitors now days.

Are there ANY good IPS monitors that do 120hz for that kind of price? I didn't think there were.

Nop, unless you count those "overclocked" chinese things.
I didn't mean it should be either, I take 120Hz over IPS any day, what I mean't that the monitor looks really nice and wish it was 120Hz, not that I had money for it anyway, my BenQ is fine but still!

Is it really quality though? Considering how cheap it seems.

There's hardly any "pro" reviews out for the LG 23EA63V-P but I can say that my IPS 226V monitors are splendid, and they cost me like 200 euros a pop when they were new.

This is my next monitor
Oh and regarding blue tint, I've heard of that problem, but I think with a proper calibration tool you could fix things.

Ips screens are not uber expensive but way to much money for ips with that poor color uniformity, bleeding, ghosting problems. I tested monitors for a week and some people get used to that, i really can not. it should not cost more then $100-150. But for that price of $180 it's ok |
Once again you show your cluelessness.
Did you set them to the sRGB preset? Did you apply a colour profile?
What you're talking about isn't uniformity, that's calibration. And even then it's still better than any fucking 120 Hz TN monitor.
And the fact that Dell uses LG panels means nothing, LG are quite possibly the most used panel manufacturer. Dell however calibrates them better than LG themselves do.

Not for image quality. Fact.
You can keep going on and on about it, but image quality is far superior on IPS. For motion fluidity 120 Hz is awesome, but it does not improve IQ. Even a badly calibrated IPS panel still has better IQ than any almost every TN panel - and certainly than any 120 Hz TN panel, which are all horrible (and I've seen most of them in action). There's no way to deny that and that was what my statement was about.
The only matter of preference is whether you want IQ or motion fluidity.

Who said anything about image quality? I said I prefer 120Hz over IPS shit because 120Hz is just too gooooooooooooooood.
Image Quality is overrated, fluidity is what matters in games!

i wrote that i tested monitors for a week, what you think did i do in that week? i tested them with color calibration, color presets, with everything, and 3 guys that works at service center for years has also tested them, to make sure i do not lie about monitors, because i returned 3 monitors, and you know what they did tell me? That if i want quality lcd ips i should avoid lg , dell. They recommended me Samsung and Apple displays. But they are to expensive.

Braindead if you think 120Hz doesn't help or work at under 120 FPS lol
120Hz is huge improvement over 60Hz on desktop already, and in games regardless of their FPS, it actually makes 40-60 FPS range look a lot smoother than it is on 60Hz.
And then again, all new games are utter shit so I don't play them at all.
ISS must be the heaviest game I got installed lol.

..... Did you know that Samsung uses PLS which has its own problems versus IPS and Apple uses exactly the same LG panels that Dell use?

Desktop anyway, ofcourse anything over 60fps is improvement on 120 hz panel, but best results still are seen in 100fps levels. I prefer image quality anyways.

Why would I eat apples when bicycles are sooo good? |
Good one, but true
But if you are looking at IPS vs TN, there is never really a question which is better. Color quality and overall image quality is waaay better on IPS than on TN panels
