so got any advice on how to study? Im taking an oline math course which is a repetition of all the math needed prior to start of uni.
Thinking of getting the book for the first course, just glanse through it to see what we'll be reading. Its been a while since i studied so will have to pick it up again fast...

For my pre-uni preparation I simply used my high-school of science's books, I'd say they provided the necessary infos to refresh the memory since the pre-tests are all about logic, basic maths and physics. This was for engineering though, I don't know if the amazing MECHATRONICS (can't stop thinking how cool it sounds) requires something else.

Pre university I don't know. It probably doesn't hurt to have read the book. When in uni just enjoy it. If you find some subject you really like then study it in depth. Find more advanced material for the subject and so on. That way you will learn valuable advanced techniques which you'll might need later on, and when you hit that ridiculously boring course( which you will) you have something to study so you're not just sittting looking out of the window.
