Q: why has f1 info been released late this year? Wasn't f1 2012 released earlier?
Steve Hood: Grid2 and for another reason that'll be made clear next week.
so maybe PS4 and Xbox One?

I hope they refine the simulative and satisfying engine even more this time, perhaps by implementing Grid 2's cutting-edge 1kHz physics and collisions, that would be fantastic. Hell, I would finally uninstall the modded rFactor!
Still bothers me enormously that they release a game when half the championship is over. And there is way more stuff to bitch about to codemasters F1.
Imo it's a good move to release F1 videogames late in the season. The reason is the Driver and Teams Ratings which are established after 7+ races. This way the devs have time to analyze the real track times and tweak the AI accordingly. This game isn't mod friendly so we can't make drastic changes to Team and Drivers strength in each track. GP4 was mod friendly and we had utilities to mess with AI and import databases with particular strength ratings based on real life races throughout the season.
Well they could always use patches for that (football managers and such...) but I'd ofcourse rather have modding tools for us.
I bet driver/team calibrations wouldn't take too long. This isn't a simulation at all, so I wouldn't be too hung up if they were a bit off on team strength. (they are off on quite a few things anyway)
Any who, I rather play from the start of the season or shortly after and I don't see any big problems to facilitate that. At the end of the day it is their choice and they just lose a few customers.
I saw things like that in here and in other "woman problems" topics so...... Am I the only one that thinks some authorities needs to be alerted about Saner and him possibly being a rapist and/or kidnapper ?
Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!

You mean gameplay tuners not patches. Tuners are a good way to "fix" these kind of issues (EA uses them in their console based sports titles like NHL, Madden, NCAA Football etc.), but I doubt Codemasters are capable of providing them. They can't even provide simple patches..

That's just being anal about wording They need to deliver it, so it most likely will be in a patch no matter what you'd call it
