Betrayer: stylish FPS from former F.E.A.R. developers announced
Betrayer is the debut project from the former F.E.A.R. and No One Lives Forever developers that make up Blackpowder Games. It’s a noir-esque FPS set in a monochromatic depiction of colonial Virginia.
It’s an FPS set in 1604 and based within an American wilderness teeming with undead soldiers who have emerged from a mysterious British encampment. Players can piece together the plot by searching for artefacts scattered across the black and white world. Objects of interest are also highlighted in red to create a striking visual style.
"from FEAR & NOLF devs" means Monolith and you got me very excited.
You mean from ex-FEAR & NOLF devs.

The only odd thing here is that this is your first post!

Maybe it will look better on the actual game, that youtube video seems to have serious problems due to the h264 codec not being optimized for this scenario
maybe, but still you can see the general idea and look...i doubt that better video quality will show much better expirience, but i do hope you are right:)
its not just distinguishing stuff (clarity)... but extended play of this harsh contrast is going to make your eyes hurt...
i dont know why they dont compromise... give the game a very desaturated look and up the contrast a bit (so you still get the stylised but muted colours) and then use the extreme harsh red as planned.
