Will be fun to see if Ridge Racer (Jap) and Ridge Racer (US) will work with each other.
Well the games are region free as some PSP US games were sold in advance and were tested on a Japanese PSP.

Hey, I really need some help. I want to know if NFS Rivals Japanese version can be played with Wi-Fi multiplayer when connected to a NFS Rivals USA version. THANKS!!!
-- Arun
We don't have the Japanese and USA editions in the same office together, but it's doubtful - when you localize a game, you change it, and those changes irreparably affect the timing and designations of the software. Lumines, for example, was vastly speeded up for load times in the American version, so even if the import recognized the domestic version, it'd have trouble managing synch. (By the by, we've tried it in this game, and it doesn't work.) A game would have to be pre-programmed to be able to recognize import versions, since technically, they are different games even though they are 99.9% the same.
Hardware, however, should connect up with foreign hardware without worry. We haven't been able to test the feature (and are curious how handling BIOS-based operations like Game Sharing will work across nations), but there's not much reason for it to be dysfunctional with US and foreign systems. We'll let you know otherwise if there's some kind of freaky problem that stops it.
