Just talked to my dad who lives in Krakow PL. Just under 40C. And to think that I'm hot at anything above 80F here near Chicago. Then again, humidity is a big factor, which is at 65% right now.

Vienna generally has nasty heat waves every year. But I feel them most now as I'm no longer freelancing and working from home Razz

Don't worry garus, starting tomorrow the temperatures in Poland should drop significantly below 30. I'm seeing around 25 and less.

I imagine that for most people "w/o OC" goes by default. Why would anyone be complaining about any heat if they have AC?

Also you can pride yourself with your fancy 50C heat you had to experience at some point, but it doesn't make 40C heat any less unpleasant or not hot.

If you live in a country where summer temps rarely go up to 30 and sometimes get a rainy and cold one, 40 degrees is a lot. Almost 40 degrees for weeks is even worse. Your 50 with no AC doesn't make mine any less unpleasant.

I have a friend who lived in that area when the tornado hit, scary stuff..and it's not even the only one one this year. We're becoming a tropical country, I mean, we already live in the Repubblica delle Banane if you know what I mean xD Laughing

BTW, those silly weathermen failed again, no rain today. Mad

Where do you live? I ask because I want to know whats the humidity there. From my travels I can tell you that 50C in Chad for instance, is nothing compared to 40C in Chicago.

Sure humidity means a lot, 40 Celsius here in Vienna didn't feel much worse than 28 or so in Finland at close to 100% humidity.

Well, I live near Łowicz, so that should be a bit to the south from you. (You're from Toruń, right?)

I think 20° C, rainy and cloudy was general standard for Poland today. Razz
