My One S died on me just now..
Was in the middle of typing something on Whatsapp and it literally died on me.
Screen went black, not responding to any button press or to the charger..
Can't even access my data now.. ffs..

No idea, i just mailed elevate. Usually they are fast, even faster if they are just going to give me a new phone all together.

Being a part of Elevate sure has its perks.
I loathe the day my One X is gonna die on me.
On-topic: while absolutely obvious, I'm 90% sure your motherboard died.
As for the other 10%, can you do me a favor and watch the screen while trying to interact with it, under a very bright light source? Is the HTC logo visible, even barely, when starting the device?

Well if you want, i can keep you in mind the next time they gonna give out invites again (IF that even happens, we are at 2500+ members now, which IMO is too much already)

Well, I would absolutely would not mind. I got lucky with my One X, tho, my best friend sold it to me for cheaps when he got an Xperia Z, I am sure the device is not registered anywhere, seeing as how he's completely clueless when it comes to tech and only wants a bigger screen.
Besides, I love beta testing. I already work as a quality controller, wouldn't mind putting my hands on new software and whatnot.

That's not what you should expect from Elevate tho 
It's what i did and got disappointed big time 
Anywhore, donno what i did, but i picked up the phone, smashed it a couple of times in the palm of my hand out of anger and it turned on o.O with still 56% battery, so it wasn't that.
I'm just glad it started working again, but fuck knows what happened there, surely wasn't fun

Well, it's an Android phone, so most stuff can be recovered from google, but I'd still backup everything that you think is important, just to be safe...
