Lately it's been all about that: 2d platformers / action games with retro graphics... 2d games with just ugly graphics, here and there 2d games with some kind of artistic approach to them that everyone loses their minds over
Is that what the PC is ourdays ? Hoping for a port of some popular console game and meanwhile shitloads of some 2d games made by a guy in his launch break - and only about 5% actual games that try to use the maximum of the resourses of the most powerful hardware available QQ?

The PC platform isn't just about graphical powerhouses, it's about variety, it's about releasing anything and everything that appeals to any number of tastes, rather than simple and safe bullshit that dominates the console market. We get the AAA extremo titles and we get the B-list indie titles, some awesome and some rubbish, but it's about variety. Always has been and always will be.

amen , couldnt say it better
With my strange tastes. big backlog and little time i am glad to be PC gamer. Sometimes i feel to play simple AAA Crap of Doody, sometimes little retro indie game and sometimes some game when you actually need brain.

Your right about that, but look back 10-15 years ago and compare it with these days. In the past gaming was fun, today these days you have to worry if you need to buy content to pass the next level.

Play arma 3, ive had years of gaming depression, yeah some good games etc, but nothing groundbreaking or fun on the long run. Its been years since i did a 5 hour online session straight without stopping until 5 am....

You mean all those military shooter and cinematic stupidity piles of shit? Yeah, I'm sick of those too. Give me more games like Mark of the Ninja, Bastion, Dust, etc. ... give me more games actually, not that interactive movie bullshit! Also, stop turning franchises that consist of actual games into what I just mentioned...
