Sup duders. My C: is plextor m5s 128gb. I have it set as ssd in uefi and rapid storage drivers installed.
Indexing on C: is disabled and page file is set to 1024gb

D: is 1tb wd10ezex. One of best 1tb hdd drives for the price.

Now- I am getting fantastic and equal to reviews, performance scores so hardware is allright but I have this one problem. Whenever I get into folder with some setup files, like driver folder or apps installation folder, it takes like 10-15 seconds to load all the files. On my old pc before 2013, This was never happening.

I never cared about that, but since I've did some xonar dg and realtek reinstalling (thanks for help in that topic) I've noticed it again and it annoys shit out of me.

here is a pic. You can see all my drivers and my rig is in my sig. Also - this is how the folder looks BEFORE it fully loads. Icons appear after like 15 seconds.

This folder is on D: so on hdd, which is not busy at all, since my system is on ssd.

MSE's on-demand scanner causing issues? When you open a folder with lots of EXEs, like the one above, ctrl-shift-esc and check out the task manager, see if MsMpEng.exe is using a lot of CPU cycles. I get that ^^ all the time on EXE-heavy folders because of MSE and it drives me up the fucking wall Laughing Nothing but generic executable icon for about 5-15s (sometimes more depending on the size of the .EXE, 1GB+ game installers are the worst) before loading correctly.

Luckily the files stay in the scanned cache for a while, it won't happen *too* often... but yeah, sorry, MSE handles that in a very annoying way.
