Rambo publisher acquires the rights to The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

Reef Entertainment has announced Terminators: The Video Game, an "authentic and exciting" Terminator title based on the hit 1980s movie franchise.

Though details on the game have yet to be revealed, Reef confirmed that it had acquired the "exclusive console video game rights" for The Terminator and the "console and PC video game rights" for sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Expect the game to be based on the two.

Surprised

Welllllllllllllllll, I wouldn't exactly go that far. There are SOME good examples, such as Ghostbusters The Videogame (2009 release), Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game (which was better than the poor film, actually) and even the Telltale "Back to the Future: The Game" Very Happy

I was going to add Wolverine: Origins to that list but I guess they never used "the game" or anything on it. Game was still better than the movie though.

I tried to play Ghostbusters the other day, it doesn't work on my system anymore :\ buggy as fuck

I'm not saying every movie/comic adaptation is bad. I'm saying, if you NEED to put "the game" or "the videogame" in the title cause you're too dumb to come up with a title, or you think your audience is too dumb that you need to specify on the title that's a game disc inside the box, then you have 99.9% chances of being shit. And the 0.1% chances it's not, it's not great either.

The company's agreement with StudioCanal — the French production company that owned the video game rights — covers the exclusive console license for the franchise's original 1984 film, The Terminator, and the console and Windows PC license for its 1992 sequel, Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
