I downloaded a dvd, but when it finished I noticed it wasn't an image. There was just a folder named "VIDEO_TS". How do I burn that into a proper DVD?

I tried creating an image with Nero by just dropping all the files in the pre-existing VIDEO_TS folder that you get when creating a "dvd movie" in Nero, but there was no sound.

This is strange because I can play the vob files in media player with sound. Should I have put some of the files in "AUDIO_TS" in Nero?

Here are the files:

VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VIDEO_TS.VOB
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
VTS_01_4.VOB
VTS_02_0.BUP
VTS_02_0.IFO
VTS_02_0.VOB
VTS_02_1.VOB

try opening the vob files with mediaplayer or summat, to check if there is sound.

when writing it to dvd make sure there are 2 folders in the root of the dvd.

AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS

so those files you mentioned above needs to go in VIDEO_TS
leave the audio_ts empty.
although it is empty, it's required on the dvd.

hope it helps

When making a DVd it is not required to have either of those directories. I have converted and burnt over 300 movies that I have downloaded and none have either of those directories and they all play just fine on my standalone player.

it all depends on your player....if your player is liberal it will play whatever you throw at it...most players will need the video_ts audio_ts structure.
