Any information on the price yet? I hope it isn't a full price tag, otherwise I'd rather wait for a sail Mr. Green

Then you'll have to wait till they fixed the mast, it got damaged during the storm and the locals are making a ruckus for chopping down their trees. So it will take a while :/

Looks very similar to their other games. It will most likely underdeliver terribly, these guys are lazier than EA with the rehashes.

At minimum I'm hoping they fixed some of the problems from Port Royale.

Yes but the trailer already shows some new events like finally a new setting instead of the carribean map. Getting a bit sick of the same map we had 10 years and i see events and such which is a cool addon i guess.

Released on Gamersgate but I believe it requires Steam and it doesn't unlock there for another eight hours.

Same here, been playing Patrician 1-4, Port Royale...I just see myself losing hours and hours again to this eco-simulation...numbers and numbers...I love it from time to time...

Yarrghh! I have to admit I thought this was more like ANNO than Patrician/Port Royale. Sorely disappointed now. I should have read up more about it.

Perhaps when it is on sale I may buy it.

Surprised

I only played one hour or so, but find it pretty good so far.
UI is very good and intiutive too, at least for me.

Is it me, or auto trading is now only for supplying your buildings? When setting up a trade route, I only have options that deal with my local storehouses.

Should be an arrow to the right and left of that icon to switch.

Thanks, took some figuring out. I though that's was just to make things exact, didn't notice the buttons on the top that set things automatically to preferable values.

Tried the game too for a while, definitely not bad but kind of a mixed bag, as the core of the game (trading and the economy system) are actually well done, whereas the rest is quite clunky and honestly a lil' bit "cheapish" (few military options, not much freedom, lack of city view, some bugs here and there).

Still enjoyable for the Port Royale/Patrician fans, nothing really new or particularly remarkable but it's a quite solid formula after all. Razz

Only played for 20 or so minutes here, can't say I am impressed. Feels more restrictive than Port Royale which is frustrating, I was really hoping more options would open up.
I need to spend more time on it but I'm not sure I have the patience this time around.

One thing I did like was the added presence of AI factions, no idea why it is restricted to just four of them though.

Hehe yes, you can zoom in but somehow I expected something more detailed and "interactive", since everything is quite stylized. I know that it's not Anno, but I would have liked to actually have the ability to interact with the city/buildings and modify the layout. However, economy is all that matters here, so it's all good. I´m a little bit confused now. Is this just buying, selling and a touch of politics on top? I hoped for actually "building" something like my own manufactures (glass or food or sth?!). So the city design is somehow static? If this is the case, I don´t see how this game would be an evolution of it´s predecessors.

I didn´t read the reviews because I´m a lazy fuck but the meta score seems to be "good" in terms of an old school business sim but I don´t know how this could be achieved without more complex endgame features.

Any thoughts or experiences?
