This happened maybe... 30 mins after I went to bed... I remember waking up in my dream, but I knew I was still dreaming. I was awake in my bedroom, but was completely aware I was still asleep. I think I remember trying to turn on my light, but it wouldn't turn on, so I got up, and was walking around, trying really hard to will myself to wake up. Eventually I noticed a pile of clothes lined up against the wall under the window, and while I knew I remembered seeing a clothes pile somewhere lined up like that, I knew I didn't have anything like that in my room, and I think that's what finally helped me wake up.
So yeah... Not weird as in crazy as fuck, it was just a bizarre feeling of knowing I was dreaming, and walking around in my dream consciously trying to wake up... Think I've only had something similar one time before.
Also I have had dreams that I knew weren't real, so I've had some control over the dream, but this was unique for me in that I was specifically aware of myself outside the dream rather than being aware I was dreaming, if that makes sense.
Felt really strange.

Had something similiar once before waking up. I woke up, went over to the bathroom, started brushing my teeth and noticed I was still asleep and just dreaming. So I forced myself to wake up, walked over to the bathroom, my father was already in there shaving, so I talked with him a bit, started brushing my teeth... and again noticed I was still asleep, then woke up for real.
This still confuses me to this day, and nothing like that has happened since.

About 10 years ago I often had dreams where I knew I was dreaming. The dreams where vivid and convincing but I knew something wasn't right. I knew I had to wake up, but not to what and where... I just had to get out of the situation(dream). So I forced myself out of sleep... its kinda strange. Because I really felt I had to force myself to wake up and it was pretty hard. And I really woke up. And when I woke up I was of course thinking... why the hell am I doing this, I need to have a good nights sleep damnit, its school tomorrow.
Strange stuff, and as I said this was about 10 years ago. Not having dreams where I come to such conclusion anymore :/
