Im going to order these next week, need just some opinions if i could get better for the price which i highly doubt. Money is not issue, but dont think its worth to pump out more cash for couple degrees cooler setup which is not gonna make any difference on already cool setup Very Happy.

Phobya Pure Performance Kit 240LT: http://www.aquatuning.fi/product_info.php/info/p16021_Phobya-Pure-Performance-Kit-240LT.html

Phobya Xtreme 200 Radiator Bundle: http://www.aquatuning.fi/product_info.php/info/p12914_Phobya-Xtreme-200-Radiator-Bundle-mit-Phobya-G-Silent-18-700rpm-Slim-black.html

Total of 234,43€

Seems to be very nice performing setup, also i like that kind of reservoir more than the ones which are installed to the 5,25" bay. This would cool my CPU and GPU. I have DCII fullcover block + backplate already bought, will also get couple compression/quick connect fittings and more black tubing. Fans are gonna get replaced on 240LT kit tho with SP120 ones.

Phobya makes good stuff but see if you can find an XSPC Raystorm kit on any of the sites you shop at. High grade stuff (except the cheap tubing) for a great price.

Compression fittings are my favorite Smile I use Alphacool fittings.

There is 2 different EK kits available at local shop L240 (209€) and 240HFX (259€), dont think they are any better than the Phobya one (considering how nice quality its for the low price). For the HFX price i can get the Phobya 240 kit + 200mm radiator bundle... Wish there would be some nice roundup review on current watercooling kits.

Btw is it enough just to hand tighten the compression fittings to blocks/radiator instead of tool? Its pretty easy fuck up things with tool, if you over do it Very Happy.

No, you won't be able to hand tighten them all the way. You want both ends to be flush and touching, to do that you're going to need a tool

I cut up strips of socks and wrapped one around the fitting then used channel locks to tighten the fitting.

IF you're curious about barbs. USe 7/16 hosing with 1/2 barbs. Only way that tubing will come off is cutting it off.

Now that TEC elements (peltier) have become relatively cheap and almost wafer thin and very effective I've begun looking into some kind of TEC solution. The issue is still getting rid of the heat that the TEC absorbs from the CPU/GPU but it's magnitudes more effective to remove heat from a GPU/CPU than any normal heatsink/water-block.

An oversized waterblock (ie. 2*surface of the TEC giving room for either longer channels or even two separate loops in the block to absorb and move heat away much faster and more effectively) could be one solution. That requires a rather large reservoir since the heat that has to be moved it a lot more than just using a water block on a CPU/GPU.

This was the video that inspired me:

The TEC powers the fan and in essence powers it's own cooling.

Imagine when they refine the technology with built-in micro channels IN the multi-layered silicon itself (ie. direct internal water cooling) combined with a TEC element. We could have self-cooling CPUs that is driven entirely by the produced heat (if we reach a high efficiency of heat generated vs watts produced/converted from the heat). Now, if heat can be converted into electricity like that, it could basically be used to help recharge or run a mobile phone and slow down battery usage by converting some or most of the generated heat to power.

God damn i found sweet looking/performing fans (ordered 2 of these).

Phobya NB-eloop 1600rpm

They are supposed to be very silent and performs very well for radiators, man they look good (if you like red&black). Gonna test them against my SP120 fans.

Meh, the new kings of fans lately have been Cougar Vortex fans.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=Cougar+vortex&N=-1&isNodeId=1

They came out of no where and people have been replacing their fans with them.
