like is the wrong word im sure... im definately more TOLERANT of my own farts than anyone elses, because theyre mine, i made it, its my own, my precious.
though i will say im definately proud if i do a real ripper... i mean a really deep bassy powerful one, but thats purely about the sound.... and not in public, of course

Your farts are coming from your own bacteria flora and your brain recognizes that fact.
Other peoples farts have alien (to your body) bacteria and there's probably a genetic component to it as well.
There is nothing more satisfying than letting go a silent but violent one and watching the absolute horror in the persons eyes next to you once they get that first whiff of it.

Haha. Many years ago I dropped a megabomb in the car and my four friends almost suffocated... I was pissed off that they all smoked in a car.

Why do people like their own smell of farts and others don't?
i think one of the reasons is because farting gives relief to uncomfortable build up inside our bodies, and our brains associate fart smell with that relief.
