Try getting a par2 set. You might be able to repair without downloading too much.

It's nothing special anyway, you're not missing out on much. If thats a consolation.
I've only played about the first 3 missions of the campaign, and tried each side in skirmish. Haven't bothered with it since.
Nice graphics though.

Sad to hear but as AnimalMother said, you aint missing something. If you wan't to play some revolutionary rts wait for AOE3, Empire earth 2 or Black and white 2.
BTW, what about .sfv checking. How did that turn out? And you really need to upgrade your connection. 20k/s is nearly at isdn speeds. Try getting at least 512kbit cable/dsl. 4-10mbit would be more preferrable.

Mchart - You have been here long enough to know that telling where to download is prohibited. And don't talk about networks etc... Yeah you should know the drill by now.

Uhh, I gave no links. Whats the big deal? All I said was torrent site (and I didnt even give the name of the network, all I said literally was torrent site), and I would be willing to message PRIVATELY what that site was. So really, what was the big deal with that?

What is your upload bandwidth? Make sure that when using a torrent your upload speed for the torrent is set to only 80% of your max upload bandwidth. You cant blame a crappy server as the problem for a slow torrent. The bandwidth comes from all the other users, not the server which is "tracking" the torrent. You'll usually see crappy speeds if - Your not connectable (fix this by opening and forwarding ports if your have a router/firewall.), your using the "common" torrent ports (fix this by setting a different port range in your client), or your uploading more then 80% of your max upload bandwidth. Or your just not uploading very much and you have a crummy rating.

Because they are fast for me and fairly easy to use? Whats your point? If I have to go digging around on IRC and wait in line for a slow DCC, then I'll do that, but If I see a torrent im most definatly using that instead.

My upload speed is terrible. Telewest is useless in that respect. 2024/386 is telewests current option.
It means I never get more than 30k/sec from torrent.

Is your download decreasing a lot when you upload? When you're using asynchronous systems like cable and dsl that is just part of the tech. You could try netlimiter and limit like 10% of your upload. Your download should be stable then.
Mchart - No exchange of "where to download" info should occure at all on this board even if It's in pm.

Someone told me having lots of resumes can kill it.
Although it extracted fine.

Yeah, you should do it in one whole download with no resumes to minimise chances of corruption. I know whenever i've used IRC (not very often) that if i've resumed the download a few times the end result has been a corrupted ISO.

As long as you resume from the same bot/person you USUALLY end up fine. The one thing I dont get about resume is why it doesnt remember the crc from the file, then check the CRC once you resume. All it does is just check for the same file name, and thats it, which is pretty stupid.

I have no idea why I don't get more.

Hmm, do you have XP with SP2? The TCP settings in SP2 limits connections to 10. It's known to impact p2p apps like torrent and so.

That shouldnt make a difference in this situation. It is most likely that the port she is DCC'ing over is being throttled.

I think you misunderstood what a par2 set. It's a few files that allow you to repair a set of files. They're used mostly on newsgroups to repair incomplete files.

Also, I'd reccomend not using torrents but that's just my opinion.
