So I'm pretty much the person I am now(fucked up quite hard) because of the drinking parents. Few hours ago mother left and just disappeared. Full scale police search ensued with search dogs included and canvassing of the whole city, after someone found a goodbye note from her in the middle of nowhere. Turns out she just got flat out drunk, passed out somewhere and was taken to a hospital. Now they're locking her up for some time for a full psych eval. Yet somehow I'm all calm and emotionless.

you might not control the past, you sure as fuck control your future, go for a run clear your mind and plot a course out of that shithole and start a new and cut ties with your past if your past holds you back or doesnt want to be saved ...

Always keep in mind you make your own life. So start working on yourself keeping in mind that first YOU need to be okay before you can help others.
You'll have plenty of moments in your life, some good some bad so don't get stuck on just this moment.

IF I have learned anything on the road with domestic issues, whether its substance or violence related, is that change must come from within the person themselves... Your mom will hopefully hit rock-bottom sometime soon and hopefully come out of it.... I can only hope that for you as it is definitely not easy to go through this stuff...
as for you, definitely learn from observation... one of the reasons I never touched hard drugs in highschool or took up drinking or smoking was because of my drug addict father and brother... learn what behaviors to avoid. You're alive, you have your reason and cognitive abilities... you can conquer and become whatever you want to be with enough will power.

I'm so sorry to hear that, must be terrible for you  .. but paradoxically this sad event could end up becoming the first step for your mother to finally regain a 'normal' life, and consequentially change yours too for the better. The past can't be altered of course, though you're still young, you've got a life ahead of you, and nothing is really unfixable if you're determined enough (and I think you are). Stay strong ;P

Hmm that may work in Norway but not in other countries, the black market would flourish. For ex. if they wanted to decrease the smoking population over here and increase the taxes on cigarettes the people would stop buying them from kiosks and shops and would get them from smugglers instead, and the smugglers would buy them from Hungary, Serbia, Bih, wherever it's cheapest.

That's why I have taken a ferry to Eesti/Viro a few times, you can get twice the money for the stuff you buy from there basicly when sold here.
If I only could afford to do it more often...

Its highrisk here in Norway, but there are of course people willing to smuggle vodka into Norway. But you are actually better off raping someone  (just to set it into perspective)
Very strict customs, and eastern europeans are caught everyday. A lot of people (including me) uses that as a tactic not to get caught; get behind a PL or LT car and it will be stopped instead of a Norwegian registered car.
Anyways, we are only allowed to take 1(!)liter vodka home to Norway (per person). If you are caught with more than 5L you are looking at jailtime. While Danish people can get 10L vodka per person... and they do, they buy like crazy from northern Germany.
