Obviously you start filming once something worth recording happens.

Should be interesting to see how "My Rights®" hold up with this Very Happy You always see YT vids of some cocky douchebag with his whole "My Rights®" thing, claiming "I'm recording this, officer" - so when you have to stop someone in the street, point to your camera and say "For both our protection and peace of mind, I'm recording this encounter" and watch how fast the same rights suddenly don't apply to you

I'm pretty sure a few police agencies in Canada are trying out equipping officers with recording devices like this (e.g., http://www.edmontonsun.com/2013/04/21/edmonton-body-worn-video-project-pleasing-the-police-at-the-halfway-mark)

and like dashcams, they should always be rolling.

Yah battery life sucks. Their HD edition is even worse. But it is water marked and encrypted, waterproof, easy to turn on. And u only turn it on when u stop someone I suppose. I will use it during carding or for special circumstances where I know there will be people moaning and faking ill treatment... We all know the situation... This will turn the table on em, I'm gonna see how they like being counter sued for defamation of character!

And no our shifts unless u are part of a specialized division goes like this
7 days straight 10 hour shifts mornibg
6 days off
5 days of afternoons
4days off
3 grave yard shifts

That's basically how it was I think, but I'm in a specialize unit so I barely remember how it was.

Yeah they got a couple of cities in the USA that make it mandatory for cops to wear cams on their glasses as well. It's a pretty successful project from what I've read.

Better dump and bury that shit if you shoot somebody by accident Razz you don't wanna use your own recording against you. And if someone asks you 'hey did you just record shooting that old lady in the face with your chest-cam?' you say it's not a camera but a gay-dar or gay detector.

I get complains almost weekly... not legit mind you... you stop a drug dealer? find tons of drugs, charge him.... you get accused of racism.... You stop an old lady and give her a ticket in a normal voice? turns out u were apparently screaming at her... the gang-banger that was kicking u and punching u until u cuffed him? well turns out u cuffed him too tight and his wrists were "damaged" not to mention the psychological trauma he received.

I once went to a domestic abuse call... girl had a massive black eye and a busted lip.... but was too scared or desperate to charge the guy (he would still get busted for the night based on my evidence, aka her face, but without her cooperation he be out soon after) so I spoke to her for a good 30 minutes... explaining the battered woman syndrome, going through her options of going to stay with friends, family, government welfare, women's only shelter blablabla... so she reluctantly agrees to press charges (this was happening to her weekly apparently for a couple years) so im like YAH HIGH FIVE WE HELPED SOMEONE TODAY

next day srg goes " Armin, anything happen at that domestic call yesterday?" and I'm like all happy and stuff im like yah man it was good, one person finally decided to file charges. he is like " Oh yah...she filed charges alright... against you, for sexual assault..." needless to say, I thought he was fucking kidding.... turns out, the guy and his lawyer got to her and scared her or manipulated her into dropping the charges against him, as per my own charges against him? well to sabotage those, he made her say I only charged him because I liked her and later in the cruiser while taking her to her mother's house I had sexually assaulted her.... They wanted all charges dropped and something like 52 grand from me and the force and me to get fired.... Now, granted this case wouldn't go too too far... but the simple stress it places on you to potentially lose rank, pay or even job based on a complete lie simply because you can't really prove anything otherwise and the fact that the government takes the side of women here is just scary. It is indeed scary that we need cameras to protect ourselves from the public that we should be protecting. When the public is in fear of the police (mostly in US though) and we are in fear of the public? something has gone haywire.

And not sure If we will get cameras here anytime soon..despite all the negative press, our civilian watchdogs can see the numbers dont scream widespread police misconduct so noone is in a rush to spend millions to acquire new stuff... hell the tazer issue is a none starter too... now they are saying we will only be able to arm some officers here or there and not all... toronto is broke.

Man that sucks. My first MA trainer trained cops self-deference at the Police Acadamey and was an ex-SWAT guy. He said once a guy attacked him with a bottle (he was in civilian clothes) and all he did was throw him and took the bottle away.

Then the guy sued him and when i asked him what he's worried about he said its a pain in the ass once the legal system gets you. Going to court, listening to lawyers make stuff up. All charges were dropped at the end but he said he has quite a few sleepless nights, even thou it was obvious he did everything right.

People only use the legal system in North America to lie and cheat their way into some money, here the cops can beat you up and you can't do shit, which is the way it's supposed to be because they usually beat up drug dealers and hooligans.
