Isn't there a list of things that were bought for under 5.9 billion? Like a brand? Would be interesting to see how this fares against, you know... NOT A FUCKING CANDY CRUSH STUDIO Laughing

Need to look later

Disney bought Lucasfilm for $4 billion. Kind of boggles the mind that King could be deemed worthy of half as much again.

This made me Laughing

It's an article by a Polish equivalent of The Onion, rough translation:

Quote:
A managerial disaster: the CEO wanted to buy credit in Candy Crush Saga, accidentally spent 5.9 billion on microtransactions.

Just a moment of carelessness can cost you a fortune.

"I wanted to up my Candy bank on a lunch-break after a boring meeting" - says the CEO of Activision/Blizzard Bobby Kotick. "I was just picking my power-ups when I chose the "buy everything" option and I got them all, including the developer".

Riccardo Zacconi, the CEO of King, the publisher of Candy Crush Saga, was extremely pleased.

"This is the biggest microtransaction since when I bought Candy Crush for 300 million. But today, the scale is totally different." - says Zacconi. "And now I can finally fulfill my dream of buying Activision".

Even though the future of Activision/Blizzard is unknown after this sweet incident, it is already estabilished that the story doesn't end well for Kotick.

As reported by the American media, Activision's supervisory board is going to setup a parental lock on his phone.

Oh man why Blizzard why, I guess it became clear after they developed stuff like Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm and Overwatch, and scrapped Titan, that there is no hope for them.

Also that article: Laughing Laughing Laughing
