Hey guys,

i hope someone can help me out with this one.

I got a Win7 ultimate copy on my SSD (used Winloader by DAZ to make it "legit") and a fresh, clean and legit copy of Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter on a seperate 500gig drive.

Dualboot shouldn't be a problem here but it is,because when i use the activator on Win7,2k12 R2 refuses to boot.I can fix that problem with "bootrec /fixboot" but then W7 gives me the finger by going "not legit".

Is there a way to avoid that the Loader messes with the mbr of 2k12?

Mess around with the loader's options.

i did, messed around with it a good time.Things like "Preserve the boot code" sound exactly like the thing i would need but sadly,it doesn't solve the problem at all.

Seek help at the official Daz winloader thread or use another activation method like RemoveWAT.

Server 2012 was compatible with the loader only because Microsoft didn't add the new activation schemes into it (only pushed them in the workstation SKUs, i.e. Windows 8 ). Now that the transition is complete, these types of errors are to be expected.

Look into activating your Windows 7 through KMS and keep your boot process clean.

I`m not really following the whole KMS deal but i think i've read somewhere that Ultimate doesn't allow KMS activation.

However,thanks for your input guys
