For me, quite the opposite. I'm 35 and after I got kids, time just went into hyperdrive.
My oldest is close to being 6 and since he was born, time has just accelerated.

So maybe it's more of a kids thing, maybe one of the other grandpa's in here without kids can fill us in.

edit: fuckin typo.

Well, it could be 50... Laughing

I guess what matters is how you feel about yourself, and how healthy you are. I don't really care about the number, although I'm near 30 I feel better now than I did 10 years ago.

(I wouldn't mind being 18 again though Laughing)

Happy Birthday! I know a few people your age and some of them seem still pretty young. And since your kids are already in their teens, you will be able to enjoy more time on your own when they leave the house. So the best is yet to come!

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

By the way, why not try one of those "things to do before 40" lists this year? Pushing yourself to do different things could be fun. And I don't mean generic lists, but things you always (or once) wanted, your own list.

Same here, I remember being a teenager, or college, and a quarter/semester seemed FOREVER. and summers was really long(as I remember it).
Now time goes by in seasons, not weeks really when looking back last 2-3 years. Seems new years wasn't that long ago..lol

And thanks everyone..So far its been spent painting 3 rooms in the house, and eating a sandwich.
And I fixed it for you moose Smile

Ahhh I remember being 18. I was like a dog with 6 dicks Very Happy But now I'm 37 I've got to put it on the toilet and slam the lid down just to make it swell up !!

Weird thing is although I'm living with someone and have been for several years, I don't feel any motivation to get married or have kids. I'm just not interested in that. Weird how people from my class at high school have kids now that are 17/18 years old. That's when you really do start to feel like life is passing you by !

Happy Birthday though Smile Have a good day.
