No thread for this?

Welcome to UNDERTALE. In this RPG, you control a human who falls underground into the world of monsters. Now you must find your way out... or stay trapped forever.
features:

Killing is unnecessary: negotiate out of danger using the unique battle system.
Time your attacks for extra damage, then dodge enemy attacks in a style reminiscent of top-down shooters.
Original art and soundtrack brimming with personality.
Soulful, character-rich story with an emphasis on humor.
    Created mostly by one person.
Become friends with all of the bosses!
    At least 5 dogs.
    You can date a skeleton.
Hmmm... now there are 6 dogs...?
Maybe you won't want to date the skeleton.
I thought I found a 7th dog, but it was actually just the 3rd dog.
If you play this game, can you count the dogs for me...? I'm not good at it.

Just read this as it very clearly explains the game: http://undertale.com/about.htm

There's a demo here. It's a great game, do give it a try. Kind of Earthbound-like.

Quite the soundtrack

Eh, wasn't there another thread for this?
If not, why is there indeed nobody talking about this game? Want to try it out later today, and from the Steam scores this game seems to be totally awesome. :O

I have a question:

I've DL'd the game from a random source, it was in a RAR file and after uncompression it had 222 elements, one of 'em a CODEX.ini file

I take this is either a portable version of the game or whatever, but the thing is..

I've reached the 1st Save point (with DETERMINATION grinhurt) and after i've saved and closed the game, i re-opened it and sure, i can load it.

The question is: WHERE IS THE SAVE GAME LOCATION!?... It's in the same folder of the extracted RAR or somewhere in C: ?...

Thanks in advance

Undertale's crazy success proves gamers are ready for feminism, queer romance, and progressive values

More than a little of that is due to how the game has something for pretty much everybody to identify with -- all couched in a narrative with feminist elements, strong LGBT representation, and other progressive values.

Great. Now I know I can avoid this game as yet another ridiculous progressive crapshoot with shoehorned LGBT faux-agenda being rammed into every scene, apparently. Nice one Emily

wait what Confused Confused Confused Confused

i guess some "people" just need to ovethink and overanalyze everything resulting in huge crap qne marking the game as something when its just one or two character outof many at one or two points parts of consequence three,
Its not even "in your face"-kind of think like the bull , its just there and normal people doesnt even notice - i guess only extremist feminist can see couple "progressive" lines in thousands of lines of the script

Faith on humanity and "west/american" culture lost - i guess i should start preparing to welcome our new extremist Islamic overlords now

For anyone who completed "genocide" run with RELOADED version and got locked out of the game at the end...

Just deleting Undertale appdata with all saves/stats will not restore the game. Game will remember. Very Happy

But if you go to:
C:\ProgramData\Steam\RLD!\391540\storage

You'll find one file there. -> Delete it (this is RELOADED emulation of steam cloud save/data)

Also delete file with same name that is in the Appdata.

After that, game will truly forget that you completed "genocide" run.

P.S.
And if anyone asks, no I did not complete genocide run legitimately.
I used Cheat Engine to beat "Undyne the Undying" and Sans bosses (to keep my HP at max), in order to complete the story. Maybe I'm too old for this kind of hardcode twitch combat.

About 3 hours in so far.
It's a nice little game with some nice moments. But i feel that this game is pretty overrated.
The rating might justify though if i reach the end.
