Seriously?

Quote:
It weaved its own particular brand of movie magic back in 1985, with legions of fans enchanted by the group of teenagers embarking on an adventure to discover hidden treasure and save their homes from demolition.

And now 30 years on, a Goonies sequel is being planned.

I'm so not sure how I feel about this. On one hand; GOONIES! \o/ and on the other; eghhh... we don't need a sequel, leave it alone!

My thoughts as well, lets not taint the awesomeness of the goonies with an unnecessary sequel just to make some quick cash :/

Not exactly announced.. they've been working on scripts for years. It's still uncertain if it'll be made.

Yup my initial thought as well. Not that it will make the first one less but still not really needed.

Assuming this sequel actually happens and if it should suck balls it still wouldn't taint my memories of the original.

But with that said i'm hoping they want to make this sequel because they've finally gotten a script they like and believe in and not because they are getting older and it's a now or never cash grab...

I wanted to add something more. I'm not against the higher ups at whatever studio going for a cash grab. I just hope they understand that they can make alot more money if they try to make a good/entertaining movie.

Damn the main kid is the fat Hobbit from LOTR, cool! And Josh Brolin is doing well.

The rest of the cast seem to be washed up, like the kid-from-'Home Alone' washed up.

Hollywood has really gone dry of ideas, now that everything of quality has been remade and rebooted, they've resorted to remake stupid 80's and 90's movies, what a disgrace!

I realise only now that Josh Brolin was in the Goonies

There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.

Damn. Didn't know that. But the character didn't die.

Also there's little left of the actor in that character anyway with all them prosthetics and shit.

Re-watched it, still great Very Happy although it overdoes it on the stereotype front, the Asian kid who is good at inventions, proly good at math too, but that's normal for a kids movie. Fat kid reminds me of Cartman.
