I heard that this release doesn't work either... Supposedly it hangs on level 5 instead of level 4. But I haven't tested it yet.

bonus movies are mostly useless suff like making ofs (maps, characters etc.),
although there ae 2 kind important movies you can unlock by playing through god mode, one deals with kratos' past, the other one shows what happens to the titan later on, i dont know if these 2 are ripped but i suppose so,
well i m sure someone with the original game is gonna rip and encode these movies, so no prob.
update:
a guy from another forum loaded his save from the genius release with this one and got past the freezing point, so yea, so far it works.

Ok. Good news, mission 4 doesnt hang now. I'm going on mission 5 in a few. Lets see if the rumor holds true. BTW I'm not sure on what bonus videos were ripped out just yet. You have to beat the game on certain modes to unlock them. For those who dont know already theres only two important bonus vids. One of Kratos' past and another one of what happens to Titan later. I just really hope this doesnt hang in mission 5 now. I'll post back if it does.

damn ppl nowadays are so damn lazy, its not enough there s a possibility to get the game for free (to test it of course),
they even want to get directly fed with it.
search for it yourself dammit as i did and most of the others here too.

Back. Well I dont see any problems with it to be honest. I'm also cooking dinner. I played passed mission 5 so this game so far seems safe. I dont see any hang times in this vers. However here is my guess on the bonus content... its a smaller rip so maybe they took out all of the dummy files to. Honestly dont see this version hanging on the later missions.

Now for the bad news...
Confusion rip locks up during Poseidon's Challenge... when under water after you lift teh gate with Poseidon's Sculpture in it.... then you go past save point... go down at poseidon underwater statue... right as you go down is a moving platform that you have to time and hide in dugouts as it passes by...
About second or third "dugout" is where game freezes...
Tested 2 burns on ridata media 1 @ 2x 1 @ 4x... on V12 PS2 with infinity chip..
Side note loaded game save at final battle and that all played out fine to end credits where they just relinked a vid... so hopefully its just this one last glitch to get by.... also notice some choppy soundtrack audio time to time.. no big deal there though....

I have seen multiple people saying they have completed it. Lastly on console-news, so I have a hard time believing that it hangs since you are the only one I have seen saying this....

It's most likley your media. And yes it can be your media EVEN though all your other games work.
And the fact that you said you had choppy sound is good evidence that it is indeed the media. Choppy sounds can be one of the problems you get if the ps2 have a hard time reading the disc (I have experienced it myself).
Ridata (ritek made disc's) isn't really the best media these days. Ritek used to be really badass but these days they are average at best. :/

Problem being i turned by verticle slim ps2 horiz. works fine...
