I just buy 1 package of shag per week (30 gram L&M, €3,70) and that's it. When it's empty than too bad and i have to do the rest of the week without smoking.

Yeah indeed, if you didn't smoke a package a day, but more like 2-3 days per package, or even if you smoked shag, you would barely save tons of money..
But yeah, there are some people that smoke 1 package of Marlboro a day.. So €6.50 (or whatever they cost now) per day gone.. THAT's expensive smoking

The wife and I used to sped around £15 on two packs of 50G Tobacco (duty free obviously) and the occasional pack of 20 (£6 at the time) a week, so we expected to have a few quid at the time (we gave up subscription TV around the same time too)
however what we didnt account for was the utility company's (to name but one) deciding to increse the prices of everything, for VAT to go up and what not.
I will say I went tout the other day (I am pretty much an indoor person for reasons I wont go into) and I nearlly had a heart attack when I saw the price of cigarettes now! (twas around £8.50 for Marlboro (ten euro give or take)) so whilst I do miss the taste, I dont miss the staining on everything in the house, the smell or the price!

I stopped smoking 8 month ago and I feel really like I've lost a burden.
I'll take a drag from a spliff/joint (whatever you guys call it) If the situation presents iself while going out (eg. once in two month (I go out more often though)), but I have not touched any cigarette at all since I stopped.
Since then I came to realize how stupid smoking nicotine really is. I mean, you have an addiction to a product that you never needed to begin with, that smells horribly bad (except for the really good cigars and pipe tobacco), is filled with cancerous chemicals and only benefits a few select companies and the state via taxes.
The consumer only gets to fulfill his addiction, no added benefit like feeling high (like with f.e. marijuana), just worse health, worse condition, worse blood pressure, stinking clothes/hair/mouth and less money.
And If I ever was to start smoking again it would have been my beeing not strong enough to resist against an alien urge that still resides inside my head even after 8 month. A clear defeat.
Yes, each day without a cigarette is a day of freedom.

Oh I wont start again.
But I do miss the taste of a good cigarette or cigar, but that's it.. (I did have a cigar last boxing day, and may do again in the future if the situation arises)

I would not dismiss the special-event cigar neither, but there is a clear difference in quality between a good cigar once a year and those filthy addiction-sticks.

Can anyone tell me their experience with the joyetech products or even this very same one?
Is this a good one or got other (around same price) alternatives?

Cant help you on joy tech, never used them. I went right from the cheap gas station type disposable ones to a clearomizer tank type. Good side to an atomizer is you can change flavors as you wish because you drip a few drops at a time, down side is well, you drip a few drops at a time..so you get about 10 puffs before you need to redrip into it. I chain smoke, So I didn't want to be unscrewing and drip refilling it every 5 minutes.
Id say stay away from the auto type batteries, I've heard mixed reviews. The ones I tried both of them either got stuck on, or I had to suck so hard Id get a hernia trying to get it to come on, after a few weeks.
Button ones are more reliable. After a few days you dont even have to think about the button it becomes natural.

from joytech get E-vic or Ego-T ONLY! do not even think about the one you posted a link to. that battery is just insanely small. get an Ego-t (twist) in 1000 capacity, it'll be dirt cheap and will get u started. E-vic is a next step up... you will QUICLY want to ditch both and go after more useful vaporizers though, joytech is pretty much the most basic starter kits

Nah not for quitting, just for not having to have the hassle with shag and the smell surrounding normal cigarettes anymore
