Open Beta Started,
http://www.battleforge.com/cms/front_content.php?idcat=10&idart=466
the game is Online only
so I think we can forget about Scene Release when the full game will come out.

Well, even if it was free, a card-based RTS based around the concept of microtransactions for card trading and purchase...

well,I tested it,
it's quite fun,but feel
like Wacraft 3,that is for now the best
Fantasy RTS.
DOTA make it even more good.

I picked up this game the day before yesterday on a whim. Its pretty damned good in my book. very fun and addictive. Kept me up pretty late last night.

And I found it quite different from Warcraft 3. It's like Magic The Gathering Mixed with War Craft III. The card collecting thing is really quite enjoyable.

Geeeez guys. This game is as addictive as anything i have played in quite some time... like Puzzle Quest addictive but maybe more so.

It has been a LOOOOOOOONG time since a game has kept me this interested for this long of straight play sessions. There is a free demo. You should really give this game a go.

http://www.battleforge.com/portal/site/BattleForge/landingpage

Download Demo in the right hand side.
But the game gets MUCH better when you have access to all the decks and can start trading and buying cards and building your own decks.

The manual for the game sucks major ass though.

There are all kind of modes via the map, coop and pvp + pve.

EA needs to get a clue..they want to copy the Korean game model with Battlefield heroes..but this is like trying to have your cake and eat it too.

This is exactly how a game would be released in Korea, except it'd be free to download and play. EA decides they want to charge $50 to get you in the door.

Well, people don't have to buy it now do they? Nobody forced me into buying it. i saw it. Thought it looked interesting. And, I bought it.
WTF are you bitching about? Go play your free to play games.

I'm more than happy to buy a good game.

The difference, though, is that Korean free-to-download/pay-to-play games usually suck, and BattleForge is awesome.

I don't mind paying for the initial game, if it's this good. I like playing some Korean games, but most of them I would not be willing to pay an entrance fee for.

Have you played any of the actual games in Korea, or just the odd one through the american portals?
Most of the games I've tried in Korea have been decent.

Yes it does. Google kssn gen. First link. Note do that and it's identity theft. Just so you know what you're getting into.

it's not like your gonna input any real data in there. i don't see how anything bad could happen. i doubt that webzen will alert the "authorities" if they find something suspicious. they'll prolly just cancel your account. i mean no one busted your lame ex-flatmate, after all Laughing

Hey, if you wanna risk being extradited to South Korea to be tried for identity theft, that's up to you...
