If you have an android phone, in every move you make, every step you take, they are watching you, at least when 3g/wifi is on.

I think it was common knowledge long before Android and the NSA incident. There is no such thing as privacy anymore.

That's where custom roms come in place, they make sure it doesn't happen
Albeit google most likely has a few backdoors that nobody knows of..

If you dont install the gapps packs (yeah I know everyone does) all the other code is open source, so I dont see how they could have backdoors, as its all visible, bar maybe some pre-compiled libs I suppose, but they are out of googles hands and I dont see how they could influence it, stranger things have happened.
I always find it funny how people (and I mean this in general, not in relation to people in tis thread) moan about privacy and then log into Facebook (or similar) to tell everyone what what they doing.
It has no (visible) info for any of my family's phones, so meh

I think wifi and 3g modules are closed?

Hey I dont use facebook to tell people what I'm doing! (there's twitter for that )
Seriously though, I use gmail and I know it's entirely compromised, but its convenient. Personally I don't care so much about privacy, if they wan't to see what kind of porn I watch, the places I've been to and whatever, so be it, but I do believe it's wrong and that it shouldn't be allowed.

Well, at least they give you a nice option of watching it now. When all this broke months/years ago, there were some hacked together apps to show you the location history your phone stored. It came in the wake of the discovery that the iPhones did that.
I think on Android it was actually just some sort of cache file of the network towers/wifi you connected to or something.

The best plan to fight phishers such as Google is to produce so much useless crap information that it's major pain in the ass to filter out the things that matter.
And that's exactly what the internet already does. Don't envy the NSA employees.
Also, I do not use Fecesbook nor Twitter.
