Today I can't browse to the Hump anymore. It says access denied, reason: potential illegal software Sad

Any way to go around the proxy, but not get caught?

http://anonymouse.org/ or similar for a easy solution, Tor browser would be another.

I'd say use any proxy you like. That is if they're not monitoring your internet traffic actively. To be on the safe side consider using your private laptop, tablet, phone etc. Again if you have the option to do so.

Or just browse forums on your own time and do your job you lazy bum.

Here's another idea... talk to the IT guy. Give him a link to the rules and show him that NFO specifically denies any and all pirated/illegal material Smile

It's hardly a piracy forum anymore Razz

Sure, there's talk of piracy still, but most people seem to buy most of their games. They might wait for a Steam sale and ISO demo first, but most still buy it in the end Razz

His job is to sit at his office and fap fap fap.

Then he gets bored and annoys me over Steam. Then he goes fapping again.

Rinse and repeat.

Could be. Might explain why every conversation starts with him asking me what I'm wearing.

Dude, you need to understand how to communicate with IT admins.

1) be polite and respectful
2) visit personally to ask for help about issues
3) always bring alcohol and/or sweets, bigger help requires bigger sacrifice

follow these rules, and you'll get by just fine, have unlimited and unrestricted internet, two big monitors when everyone else is using one small, better hardware (ram, gfx,..) Wink

well unless you're in a big shitty firm, where everything is company policy and the administration is outsourced.. Laughing

When I worked in that bank (the one that failed) I had to invent the risky excuse "hey, one of our clients needs me to have access to this virtual account *mentions the hump* in order to finalize the transaction, but I can't verify it from here since it's blocked". No questions asked, they probably didn't even check, but I instantly got what I wanted. No longer blacklisted! Though this can only happen in the 3rd world of misinformation and nofucksgiveness I guess xD

This sounds a lot like a checkpoint firewall, I got the exact same warning at my old workplace. My boss was OK with me changing the settings. It was way to sensitive :/
